Trying to be a vegetarian on the 1st day of lunar month ….. had a simple economic mixed fried noodles with “char siu” …. Was pleasantly surprised when I was told to pay RM1.50 ….. I will give this place a 10/10 score for that 😊

Hokkien Mee was just normal (6/10), Char Koay Teow with Duck egg (6/10) & Koay Teow Th’ng was really not great at all (5/10).

Read a lot of good reviews of this place …. It was not as crowded when we arrived around 6.30pm but was quite full when we left an hour later. Mostly patronised by foreigners/tourists ….

Food was ok but can’t say it was great. Price is a bit on the high side in Hue but considered very affordable if in Malaysia. Overall score: 6/10.

When in Auckland and you need some Malaysian food, you got it …… Char Koay Teow (more like Char Hor Fun) was pretty good ….. Char Mien was good too and so was Wat Tan Hor ….. Salted Fish Fried Rice was not bad with pork Ladd …. Though Curry laksa was a big let down ….. Fried Hokkien Mee was not great as it used udon mee but still acceptable lah …. Overal, when in Auckland, this is the place.

Nasi Ayam Gepuk is a very popular Indonesia dish and it is now available at The Barn. Warning: this is Non-Halal. Though some may have commented it does not taste very ori but at RM17.50 per plate, it is sure value for money and i love the sambal (though can be more spicier). Score: 7/10). It is also available with pork instead of chicken. Oh btw, after the fourth plate, the fifth is on complimentary.
