NO OUTSIDE FOOD PLS. Noticed an unusually higher number of people bringing outside food to dine in our bakery. Eh, I know times are tough, but dun la liddat.

1) each seat has to generate sales for us to pay rent, labour, utilities and…therapy.
2) we cannot ascertain the cleanliness of the food you bring in, which might cross-contamination.
3) we are not halal-certified but we try very hard to make our place somewhere that all diners can dine with peace of mind. We do not know what ingredients are in the outside food you bring in.
4) IT’S JUST RUDE.

Only exception we will allow is food for your baby because, u know, they can’t eat otak2 (yet).

We will be prepping for some corporate lunch boxes in the morning. Diners, pls come 10am-3pm 🙏🏽

Sometimes, inexplicably, the breads tak jadi. I have run it through my head 100x—my process, my technique, my measurements, the temperature of my ingredients—and I did not make any mistake. Maybe it was this batch’s flour quality. Maybe I offended the bread gods.

At times like this we can only shrug and go “eh, bread”. The ingredients are few, the steps are simple, but so senang merajuk.

With experience, this now rarely happens. For now, I can only bin these and dough for 30 more (while crying a little).
