A social enterprise to fund our own TNRM program initiated in the local residential area to trap, neuter, release/rehome and manage 6 street dogs (Foxy, Latte, Mocha, Kofi, Kopi-C, and Dog BB). Hi everyone, we are the Ruff Cookies woofpack.
We have a little problem.

Our manager/woofpack mommy, Alex sometimes has to leave the house to go to work, run errands, rescue dogs, go to the vet basically do all the human things that unfortunately don't involve staying home to supervise us 24/7.

And apparently, some of us have discovered that ESCAPE IS FUN. 🏃🏻‍♂️💨
Yes… we have escaped a few times. 😭 The neighbours are the whistle blowers! (I am grateful to them and I got rotans stocked up)

So now, when Alex has to be away, most of us need to stay safely crated not because she doesn't love us, but because she REALLY doesn't want to come home to an empty house and 20 missing dogs.

We already have some crates, but with so many of us, we need around 2 more sturdy cages so that everyone can be safely separated and secured when our hooman is away.
So… can you help us buy our new “personal rooms”? ☺️

D306 costs RM144 per cage. Every RM10, RM20, RM50 or any amount helps us get closer to having enough safe crates for the pack. We promise to complain about being crated, give dramatic puppy eyes, and act like we have been imprisoned for 500 years. 😂

But most importantly, these cages will help keep us safe, secure and HOME while our hooman is out working and running errands.

I named them Heng, Ong & Huat because you know Alex pretty much needs all the 好意头 to keep our woofpack safe, fed and enriched. 😂

Good names bring good luck, right?
*Smiling through the depression. 🙂😂

All three puppies have skin disease, ticks infested and were prescribed antibiotics to treat the infection.
Huat huat, the limping puppy, has swelling on her leg. The vet suspects she may have been knocked over by a bicycle/motorcycle, or possibly hit with a stick. 😔 She is currently on painkillers to help manage the pain and swelling. Their vet bill came up to RM157 in total. ❤️
Includes: Nexgard x3, Deworming x3 and painkiller for Huat2

But now comes the next part is keeping three growing puppies fed and cared for. 🥹
They need:
Puppy milk, food, p*e pads, cage, medication, basic cleaning/care supplies
…and, of course, all the other little expenses that come with raising three puppies.

So we’re opening a small donation appeal for Heng, Ong & Huat. ❤️ If you’d like to help these three little ones, any amount is greatly appreciated. Even RM5, RM10 helps us stretch their food and supplies a little further.

2. Adopter bears the cost for vaccination, deworming and a pet care introduction by registered veterinarian.
3. Do not allow cats/dogs free roaming outside the house.

I almost walked away. 😭

Honestly, my original plan was simple: take some photos, post them, and try to find homes for these puppies. I wasn’t planning to take them in.

Then I noticed one of them was injured and hiding inside a drain. Her two sisters kept checking on her, jumping around, going back to her, and trying to get people’s attention.

And suddenly, this wasn’t just about finding two puppies a home anymore.
Sometimes we don’t choose the rescue.
Sometimes the rescue finds us.

So… here we are, I guess. 🥹
These three sisters are going to the vet tomorrow.

But I need to be honest, I absolutely cannot do this alone.

You all know I already have immunocompromised seniors to care for, and I simply have TOO MANY DOGS to keep taking in more. I had only planned to help these puppies get photographed and find homes, but now they need medical attention, temporary care, and eventually loving families.

I’m stretched thin like roti canai. 😭
So I’m asking for help, not just financially, but in any way you can:

🏡 Fosters: even temporary fostering would make a huge difference

Just three tiny sisters sticking close to each other. 🤎

I miss you, Kofi Bear.
I truly believe you've both been watching over us from above.

Losing so many dogs within just one month broke me. The vet bills and afterlife care drained everything I had. I even used 2/3 deposit I had saved for our new house. Every day, I worry about losing our current home and the place we've booked.

Then, I received a phone call.
That phone call left me in tears.
I cried so hard I could barely speak.

Over the years, I've slowly stepped back from actively trapping and neutering community dogs. Now, if a friendly stray crosses my path, I simply "trick" them into the car for neutering. I'm also always happy to help responsible feeders whenever I can.

These days, my heart leans more towards adopting senior dogs, to give them comfort, dignity, and love in their final chapter.

I always tell people, "I just want them to leave this world knowing they were deeply loved. They were never abandoned. They are simply my children who found me a little too late." ☺️ 老狗狗 老baby

This month, the deposit for Ruff Cookies' new home was nearly used up. I kept telling myself that if I worked harder, took on more boarding, pet nursing, 咬緊牙 it will be okay macam tu.
But then came that phone call.
It became the motivation I didn't know I needed.
I never imagined that this difficult journey would touch someone enough that they would reach out to help me when I needed it most.

I was completely sp*echless. All I could do was keep saying, "Thank you."
I really... never expected it.

Lastly, I want to thank you all for helping Kofi Bear's final journey.

I'm looking to build a wheelchair like this, that mimics a natural walking gait and provides passive range of motion (PROM) for our super dogs with rear-limb paralysis.

I've seen a few amazing DIY wheelchairs with wheel-driven stepping mechanisms, but I haven't been able to figure out exactly how they're built.
I know there are some genius DIYers and makers out there. I'd really appreciate any sketches, photos, ideas, or advice. Let's help more super dogs walk again! 🐕❤️

Qian Wan's Update 💔
Our little fighter is still under critical nursing care around the clock, and thankfully, I'm able to provide that myself with the guidance and support of Dr. Dinesh and Dr. David. 🙏🏼🥹

Over the past two days, Qian Wan has refused to eat and, yesterday, he became unable to stand on his own. His bloodwork showed an elevated BUN (40.9) and creatinine (1.6), indicating that his kidneys are under stress. If this turns out to be chronic kidney disease (CKD), he would already be in Stage 4 based on these values.

What makes this case confusing is that his calcium and phosphorus levels are still within the normal range. In advanced CKD, we'd usually expect those values to become abnormal. On the other hand, if this is acute kidney injury (AKI), we'd normally expect his kidney values to rise much more dramatically. Because of this, the vets and I are monitoring him very closely. For now, Qian Wan is receiving IV fluids and intensive supportive care.

⚠️ Qian Wan urgently needs AminAvast to support his kidneys. If anyone has 15 tablets to spare or would like to sponsor them for him, please send me a DM. 😢 He will also need repeat bloodwork in 7 days (or sooner if his condition changes). We're praying his kidneys will respond.

Truthfully, we're under a lot of stress right now. We're supposed to be moving into our new place by the end of August, but every single day brings another unexpected expense. Food, supplements, medications, veterinary bills, emergency treatments, and even after-life care and cremation for the dogs we've lost just this past month... it all adds up.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up.
