Official Statement from Panjang Kee Chicken
We want to address a viral TikTok video involving our company, Panjang Kee Chicken. The video shows our Maybank QR code printed on a 'sampul duit raya', which has led to misunderstandings among the public.
We would like to clarify that our company did not print these 'sampul duit raya', nor were we involved in posting this video on TikTok. We are also unaware of the intentions behind the video.
To ensure transparency and protect our customers, we have taken the following actions:
✅ Lodged a police report regarding this incident. We will provide a screenshot of the report for public reference.
✅ Informed Maybank to disable the QR code. Please do not scan any QR code from the viral video.
✅ Lodged a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to address this matter.
We urge the public not to share or spread the video any further. If there is any malicious defamation against our company, we may take further legal action.
Panjang Kee Chicken operates with integrity and honesty. We do not engage in any fraudulent activities, and we take this matter very seriously.
