Carlsberg Malaysia Group has reported a 1.2% increase in net profit to RM82.9 million on the back of a 5.0% increase in revenue to RM514.9 million for the second quarter ended 30 June 2026 (Q2FY26).
The improved performance in the quarter was driven by stronger sales and higher profit contribution from the Malaysia operations. Nevertheless, the Group is also seeing early signs of the 10% increase in excise duty imposed last November, impacting consumer demand and spending.
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the second interim dividend of 21 sen per share for the second quarter ended 30 June 2026, bringing the cumulative interim dividend to 45 sen per share for FY2026.
In H1FY26, the Group saw net profit up by 3.1% to RM181.9 million, while the Group’s revenue grew by 5.9% to RM1.22 billion. This was supported by a longer selling period ahead of Chinese New Year (CNY), as well as favourable pricing impact from the price adjustment in its Malaysia operations last year.
On outlook, the Group expects the operating environment to remain challenging amid cost pressures, macroeconomic uncertainty, geopolitical developments and cautious consumer sentiment. The Group will continue to monitor external developments closely, while staying focused on disciplined value management, cost optimisation, prudent resource allocation and investments that strengthen business resilience.
