Initial tests done at Food Technology Research Center MARDI show that stingless bee honey have a high medicinal value, containing phenylpropanoic acid, protocathechuik acid, and 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid. These acids are grouped under the free phenolic acids that act as the active ingredients for antioxidant and anticancer agents. They are also more easily absorbed by the body compared to other active ingredients like flavonoids.
