📍 Pal Gong San Jang Korean BBQ , Sek 17 PJ
Visited a new Daegu-style Korean BBQ in Section 17, PJ. Owned by Koreans and it’s named after Palgong Mountain in Daegu, the owners’ hometown. The place gives off a wood cabin vibes, very charming.
Was there on a Tuesday night and it was packed!
What we tried:
🥩Pal Gong Sogeum Gui Set — RM129 for 540g of premium meat (recommended for 2–3 pax)
- 4 Premium Pork cuts: pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl & pork skirt
- 1 x Steamed egg
- Seaweed soup
- Refillable banchan (side dishes)
The pork comes with a Jeju-style anchovy dipping sauce that’s packed with umami, and I really enjoyed wrapping the meat in the pickled garlic leaves (Myeongi Namul) that’s sweet, tangy and garlicky 😋
🍜 Bibim Naengmyeon (RM25)
- This dry cold noodle was a perfect pairing with the bbq meats. Loved the beautiful flavors!
I liked that the staffs will bbq the meats for you but if you can also can do it yourself if you’re up for it.
