We are proud to announce that Salcon Berhad has secured a RM80.399 million water infrastructure contract through its wholly owned subsidiary, Salcon Engineering Berhad for a treated water pipeline project in Pulau Pinang.

The project involves the design, supply, installation, and testing of a main treated water pipeline connecting the proposed 114MLD Sungai Kerian Water Treatment Plant to Batu Kawan Reservoir, with future connectivity to Jawi Reservoir.

This award reflects continued trust in Salcon’s engineering capabilities and reinforces our commitment to delivering sustainable, reliable infrastructure that supports long term water security and community resilience.

As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental education, Salcon Berhad recently hosted 80 students from SMK Seksyen 24 (2) and SMK Sekyen 18 under the Salcon Smart Water Programme (SSWP) at Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi.

Guided by facilitators from Water Watch Penang , students carried out hands-on science experiments of the river at Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi, including:
* Physical testing includes: pH level testing and flow rate monitoring
* Chemical Testing includes: Water turbidity and dissolved oxygen measurements
* Biological sampling: identification of aquatic organisms

This immersive experience empowered students to connect textbook science with real-world environmental applications, fostering awareness, curiosity and a sense of environmental responsibility from a young age.

To date, the Salcon Smart Water Programme has benefited over 60 schools and 4 orphanage homes, engaging over 3,600 children and teachers across Malaysia.

We look forward to collaborating with more schools and passionate educators in cultivating a culture of sustainability among youth.
