1.Stud Cattle:
1.1 Wagnou Beefmaster Stud breeds adapted cattle under extensive breeding conditions for the Namibian market. We only offer the best 10% of our yearly stud calf production (after str
ingent and visual selection) as excellent bulls to fellow farmers.
1.2 Belgian Blues
We are the proud owners of the first and only pure Belgian Blue Cattle in Southern Africa. This heavily of double-muscled breed possess a gene which suppresses the production of myostatin, a protein that normally inhibits muscle growth after a certain point. This mutation increases carcass weight and lowers fat percentage.
1.3 Chianinas
WagNou Boerdery owns a few pure Chianina cattle.. This cattle breed, originating from Italy, are one of the oldest known cattle breeds and is also the physically the largest of all cattle breeds. Growth rates of more than 2 kg's per day have been realised.
2. Agronomics
2.1 Fodder
WagNou Boerdery produces big round grass bales weighed at approximately 250kg. The bales are available on order and can either be collected at WagNou or delivery of large quantities can be arranged.
2.2, Wagnou Volvoer
Wagnou Boerdery mills fodder products and mix cattle and sheep as well as creep feed ("kruipvoer"). Wagnou Volvoer is available at selected Agra and Kaap Agri outlets in Namibia.
2.3 Wagnou Besproeiing
From October 2020 Wagnou developed a portion of Okambekere and delivered the first maize harvest to Bokomo and Namib Mills during July 2021. WagNou Boerdery is proudly Namibian and invests in the upliftment, development and the sustainable happiness of its staff and is committed to make a difference in the surrounding community.
