🌶🌶🌶🌶 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞? 🌶🌶🌶🌶

This week's sauce introduction is 𝑮𝑼𝑵𝑺𝑴𝑶𝑲𝑬, one of the best hot sauces available on Planet 🌍! It has found its way to South Africa, Europe, Canada, the USA and even appeared on TV a couple of times:

I always wanted to make a flavourful sauce that could act as an all-rounder for most dishes. I experimented, blended ingredients and started cooking a batch, not really impressed. But when I lifted the lid for the first time, and the garlic and smoked paprika had married with the habanero, it smelled like Hungarian goulash, like grandma's kitchen, like coming home - and I was instantly hooked! ❤❤❤
It's a personal favourite I use with stews, pizza, pasta, braaivleis, steak, krummelpap, and you can even mix a teaspoon or two with half a cup of mayonnaise and make a pasta salad or a topping sauce for chips.

🌶🌶🌶 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓'𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐀𝐔𝐂𝐄? 🌶🌶🌶

Today we'd like to introduce you to our famous 𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙇𝘼𝙑𝘼, one of the best hot sauces available out there. It's so popular with restaurants and food stalls / roadside stalls that we couldn't keep up with demand to supply it to Wutow Trading , our countrywide distributors. We started planting our own jalapeños and hope to have this sauce made available all over the country, not just at a few smaller stores.

Facts about 𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙇𝘼𝙑𝘼:
🚩 - is made from ripe, red jalapeños
🚩 - contains zero flavourants, preservatives or colourants
🚩 - is hand crafted right here in Namibia, by Namibians, for Namibians
🚩 - has been favourably compared to two famous American sauces
🚩 - is the perfect companion to ANY food dish, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner
🚩 - is used in a variety of local restaurants (available in 5 liters) as a better tasting and more affordable alternative to the imported sauces.

Don't let the name scare you; all our sauces have unique, novelty names. The name was chosen to differentiate us from the various "-asco" versions available out there. 𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙇𝘼𝙑𝘼 is only hot, hence the yellow label and yellow seal. We have other sauces that are way hotter! Remember, our sauces are made to add flavour to your food, not to simply burn and make you sweat.

Sometimes we meet people who leave a lasting impression. Katie from Ktb Saucy is such a person. Funny, cheerful, real. In April 2024 I sent a package to North Carolina so she could do a review on some of our sauces. Unfortunately the third party courier played soccer with the package, so two sauces were lost.

🌶🌶🌶🌶 In June 2024, KykNET contacted us to do a production shoot around my wife and myself, to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day workings at Namib Chilli. The programme aired on 1 September 2024. After that, our mailbox, WhatsApp and website exploded with enquiries! This in Afrikaans only, but I'll try to post one with English subtitles soon. 🌶🌶🌶🌶
