NATIONAL FISHERIES INDABA 2026 | Erongo Marine Enterprises, together with our Horse Mackerel right-holding partners, Arechanab Fishing & Development Company, Cerocic Fishing and Erongo Seafoods, is proud to be participating in the National Fisheries Indaba 2026 as sponsors and exhibitors.

We were honoured to welcome Her Excellency Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Hon. Dr Inge Inge Zaamwani, and other conference delegates to our exhibition stand.

The inaugural Indaba, taking place from 3 to 5 September 2026, brings together government, industry stakeholders, workers, scientists and coastal communities to deliberate on the future of Namibia's fisheries sector under the theme: "Shaping the Future of Namibia's Fisheries Sector Towards a Transparent, Inclusive, Sustainable and Globally Competitive Blue Economy to the Benefit of All Namibians."

EMPOWERMENT THAT PAYS FORWARD

In celebration of Workers’ Day, the Erongo Marine Harambee Workers Trust distributed N$45,000 (before tax) to each beneficiary on 30 April 2026 — a total of N$9.3 million shared equally among 207 permanent employees of Erongo Marine Enterprises and Commercial Cold Storage Namibia.

Funded through dividends from equity investments in Arechanab Fishing & Development Company, a horse mackerel right‑holding company in which Erongo Marine Enterprises is a shareholder, and Commercial Cold Storage Namibia, this marks another consecutive year of pay‑outs since the Trust’s establishment in 2017.

Since inception, the Trust has distributed over N$40 million, demonstrating the lasting impact of meaningful, employee‑focused empowerment.
