Today, we celebrate Africa Day by recognising the people, cultures and communities that make this continent what it is - resilient, creative and full of possibility.

As a proudly Namibian business, we believe growth should create opportunities that stay close to home. Over the past year, we contributed more than N$9.25 million towards community, sport and cultural initiatives across Namibia, while our operations supported 974 jobs, mainly in Windhoek.

Weโ€™re also continuing to invest in the future through our graduate development programme, as well as partnerships focused on climate-smart agriculture and aquaponics training.

At the same time, we remain focused on building a more sustainable future for Namibia, reducing water use to 3.56 hl per hectolitre of beverage produced, while 92.8% of our energy came from alternative sources. Africa Day is a reminder that progress is built by people, partnerships and communities working together.

Hereโ€™s to African pride, African progress and African possibility.

For many Namibians, getting to work, school or home safely means walking or cycling every day.

As part of United Nations Global Road Safety Week, NBL joined the Ministry of Works and Transport, the National Road Safety Council, the City of Windhoek, WHO Namibia and other partners for the launch of a new study on non-motorised transport in Namibia, developed with the University of Namibia.

The study found that more than 70% of daily trips in Namibian towns are made on foot or by bicycle, yet infrastructure has not kept pace with how people move through our communities. In Rundu alone, more than 3,500 pedestrians and cyclists were counted along a single corridor during peak hour, highlighting the growing need for safer, more connected walkways and cycling routes.

There are encouraging signs of progress. In the first four months of 2026, Namibia recorded lower crashes, injuries and fatalities compared to the same period last year, showing that awareness, collaboration and continued investment in road safety can make a difference.

Through our partnership with the MVA Fund, we remain committed to supporting safer road use and ongoing awareness efforts across Namibia.

Because we believe that every journey should end safely.

A catch-up after work, a weekend braai, time spent with the people you love. These are the moments that bring us together across Namibia every day, and the ones truly worth savouring.

At NBL, being part of those shared experiences is something we hold close. We're committed to encouraging responsible enjoyment, because the moments that matter most deserve your full presence.

The best times aren't measured by how much is in the glass, but by the joy, connection, and memories shared around it. Celebrate well, drink responsibly.

We've been part of Namibia's sporting journey for many years and we're not slowing down.

This week, our Marketing Director Dries van der Sandt and Sustainability and Public Affairs Manager Franklin Angermund sat down with the Honourable Dino Ballotti, Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture and colleagues. The conversation was all about aligning on what matters most: sport, youth empowerment and how NBL can keep Brewing a Better Namibia, for the next generation.

For us, this is a long-term commitment to the people and communities that make Namibia great.

Across Namibia, SMEs play a big role in keeping industries moving, from logistics and services to supply and support.

Since launching our MSME Development Fund in 2024, weโ€™ve invested N$3.9 million across 41 Namibian SMEs so far, supporting entrepreneurs in the Khomas, !Kharas, Omaheke and Hardap regions and helping to grow local supply chains and create new opportunities.

As the fund continues to expand into new regions, the focus stays the same, building businesses that can grow sustainably and contribute to the economy long into the future.

Because when local businesses grow, we all grow ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

This Workersโ€™ Day, we recognise the people who show up every day and make it happen. At NBL, thatโ€™s 929 employees across our brewery, logistics network and commercial teams, each playing a part in bringing our brands to life across Namibia.

Itโ€™s their consistency, skill and dedication that keep everything moving, from the first step in production to the moment our products reach customers.

Weโ€™re also continuing to invest in the next generation through our graduate development programme, which has supported 13 young professionals, giving them hands-on experience and a chance to grow within the business.

Today, we celebrate our people, and the role they play in building not just our business, but the communities and industries around us.

Every drink has a story, and ours starts with a commitment to the land we call home, Namibia! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿป

At NBL, brewing responsibly is not just how we do things โ€“ itโ€™s who we are. Last year, we hit a major milestone: 92.8% of our total energy consumption (electrical and thermal) was sourced from alternative energy sources, up from the 66% noted in 2024. Whether itโ€™s our biomass boiler or solar panels soaking up the Namibian sun, weโ€™re working to make sure every sip of your favorite brew is kinder to the planet.

Weโ€™ve kept our landfill waste low, with just 9% of production waste sent to landfill, Itโ€™s not about one big gesture; itโ€™s about those small, daily steps that keep our environment thriving for generations to come.

Cheers to brewing for a better tomorrow! ๐Ÿบโœจ

Togetherness means getting there safely ๐Ÿš—

As many of us travel to spend time with family and friends, one thing matters most, arriving safely.

For 20 festive seasons, weโ€™ve worked alongside partners like the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund and NAMPOL to support road safety across Namibia. This year, that support included providing refreshments and reflective jackets to officers at roadblocks, helping them stay visible and energised as they keep our roads safe.

Wherever youโ€™re heading, travel safe and look out for one another โค๏ธ

A proud moment for Namibia Breweries Limited as itโ€™s recognised as the Top Revenue Contributor in Customs and Excise for the Third Consecutive Year

This week in Swakopmund, NBL was recognised at the Namibia Revenue Agency Taxpayer and Trader Appreciation event as the overall top revenue contributor in customs and excise for the third year in a row.

As a proudly Namibian business, this kind of recognition reflects the role businesses like ours play in supporting essential services, infrastructure, and the growth of Namibia.

Most importantly, itโ€™s thanks to our people, our customers, and our partners who make this possible every day.

Weโ€™re proud to be part of Namibiaโ€™s journey and to keep playing our part.

Over the 12 months to 31 December 2025, we achieved growth across our portfolio, with stronger revenue, improved profitability and meaningful gains from local production and ongoing efficiency improvements.

Earnings also strengthened, supported by disciplined ex*****on and a healthier mix of brands and categories.
Behind these results is a more focused portfolio, continued investment in our brands and production, and a careful approach to managing costs in a market where affordability remains critical. Instead of relying on broad price increases, we concentrated on productivity and staying competitive for our customers.

Looking ahead, conditions may remain tough, but we are confident in our ability to keep building and growing.

As our Managing Director, Waldemar von Lieres, said: โ€œNBL is taking important steps to become a sustainable and future-fit organisation. As our industry evolves, weโ€™re aligning how we work to support continued growth and competitiveness.โ€
