Best time to feed your snails.

Please my fellow farmers, you must understand that I am also a farmer taking care of my Animals, I can't reply hundreds of messages on WhatsApp and still post on Facebook, I refer to post on Facebook were millions of farmers will see it than private WhatsApp messages.

Best time to feed your snails is evening time from 6pm to 7pm
Snails only eat at night

Some one asked me if I give snail drinking water at the comment section, the answer is yes depending on the food you gave them.

Give your snails drinking water with clean flat plate as you give them feed
During hot weather make sure you sprinkle water to the snails to balance the snails body temperature to avoid mortality

As a snail farmer you should be very careful with the temperature inside your snail farm and ventilation very important
Direct sunlight entering the snail house will cause alot of health damage to the snails so avoid it
Snails need very cool environment to grow fast.

EMERGENCY TREATMENT TO REVIVE A DIEING BIRD IN POULTRY FARMING.

Follow this rules
1. Check the chest of the bird to check its temperature to know if the heart is still breathing.
2. Gently touched its crop to understand the major problem of the bird If it hard like a stone, swollen like a balloon, or completely empty?

1. If it’s hard (Crop Impaction): The chick ate wood shavings or too much dry feed without water.

2. If it’s a water balloon (Sour Crop): The food is fermenting and turning fungal.

3. If it’s completely flat (Dehydration): its blood sugar crashed, and it simply ran out of fuel.

SOLUTION
Get clean warm water.
When a bird wants to die, it goes through a shutdown process,

When a bird is this weak, heavy medicine will kill it instantly. Its organs cannot process it. You need to jumpstart its engine with raw energy.

Get Glucose powder (or pure honey), Vitamin B-complex, and a needleless 2ml syringe.

Mix 3 tablespoons of warm water
1 teaspoon of glucose or honey (for immediate energy)
A tiny drop of liquid Vitamin B-complex (to stimulate the nervous system and appetite)

Stirred the mixture until it is completely dissolved.

Never, ever force water down a dying bird throat, Look inside its beak. At the base of the tongue, there is a small hole called the glottis. That leads directly to the lungs. If you pour water in there, you will drown the bird instantly.

Bend the birds head slightly upward. placed a single, tiny drop of the glocuse warm water on the very tip or the side of its beak.
wait for 30 seconds, then applied another drop.
After three drops, massage the birds throat downwards to help the fluid slide into the empty crop.

After a few minutes , the bird will open its eyes, if the bird did not open its eyes is over for the bird

NOTE:
When a bird metabolism slows down, its body temperature drops dangerously low. If you put it back in the main pen, the others will trample the bird to death.

Put the bird in another pen put heat just low enough to create a warm environment for the bird
This is your Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Keep the bird under this heat. Every 20 minutes, give the bird 3 to 4 more drops of the glucose water.
Do not give feed yet, the stomach can't handle it until the bird is fully hydrated.

After some hours, Mix feed with a little bit of the glucose water to make a wet mash, Once the bird eats this and poops normally, glory to God the bird is fully ok and can return back to the normal pen

2. Water Leaf: Snails are over 80% water. Dehydration is their silent killer, Water leaf is incredibly rich in moisture, but more importantly, it is packed with calcium and vitamin C. Feeding them water leaf ensures they stay plump, hydrated, and active, especially during the hotter months. It also makes their meat incredibly tender.

3. Pumpkin Leaf (Ugu): The Growth Engine. If you want your snails to grow rapidly and develop thick, unbreakable shells, you need pumpkin leaf. It is a powerhouse of iron, folic acid, and essential minerals. The iron boosts their overall vitality, while the mineral profile supports rapid tissue growth. What you must know about hybrid and local Archachatina marginata snail.

For my good followers asking me how much I will collect to teach them snail farming, Poultry farming and fish farming pls I don't take any money to teach, I will give you all the knowledge for free.

Some fans asked if thy can start snail farming with the snails thy picked up from the bush because thy can not afford the price of snails now in the market
Some said no the snails will not grow

Here is my Answer to it based on my experience in the field.
You can use the Archachatina marginata snails you pick from the bush to start your farming journey and succeed if you can do what I will tell you now.

The snails in my hand is 1 week today from hatchery the snails are still under Brooding stage

If you get Archachatina marginata from the bush to start your snail farming journey, your main target will be for the snails to lay eggs not for them to grow that big because the snails did not eat good calcium food at the bush from small.
30 piece of Archachatina marginata can give you more than 500 eggs in 6 months if you feed them well

Once you get the eggs, incubate them to hatch, once the eggs hatch brood those snails well and you will get fast growth
The difference between snails in the bush and snails in the farm is proper food management with good source of calcium

When your snail Hatch put them in your well prepared Brooding pen do not feed them for the next 4 days only give them their egg shell to eat

After 4 days start giving them pawpaw leaf, make sure the brooding pen has good moisture and good ventilation
From 1 week start giving them calcium the one you prepare or already made you bought from the market. Spray the calcium on top of the pawpaw leaf or any leaf you are giving to them

After 4 weeks remove them from brooding pen to the pen you want them to stay and grow

Remember do not over stock and always sort your snails

How to start snail farming

Before you start, first decide the type of snail house you can afford or like.
In the picture is two types of snail house

1. Green house: Is called green house because you will need to plant lots of leafs and other plants inside that will give the snails shade and also provide food for the snails.

2. Block house: This type the top is open and serves as door using net and wood to construct it. You can also use wood to construct this type of house replacing the block with wood but the top remains with net.

Before you make your choice listen to this.
GREEN HOUSE
1. Green house is good, it will allow the snails to walk freely and also enjoy different types of leafs
2. The farmer will always have to provide already made snail food for the snails every evening
3. Green house you need to make provision on how to replace the leafs or plants inside the house because the plants can not live forever and failure to do it you will lose your money because when you lose the plants, the environment will not be well conducive for the snails again, the snails will be open to direct sunlight, which will make the snail body temperature to be high and next is lossing the snails etc
4. You will need to dig a borehole that will always supply water for the plants and to cool the temperature inside the house etc.
5. Inside green house you can not know the correct amount of snails you have

Block house or wood house/ tyre house etc
1. This type is very good but the snails will not have the freedom to move around like in green house
2. You will have to provide the leafs/ the already made snail foods for the snails every evening and remove leftover food every morning
3. From time to time you will have to wet the snails to cool the body temperature
4. You will have to make provision were the snails will hide and sleep during daytime and place the snails will come to eat during night hour. This space is very important were the snails sleeps and were the snails comes to eat, you can use dry plantain leaf inside the house to provide were the snails will sleep or hide during the day pls make sure you use good soil for the floor of the house.
5. This type will make you know the correct amount of snails you have and also get to collect the snail eggs without stress
6. In this type you must learn how to sort your snails according to sizes to avoid losing the snails or not growing well. Separate big snails from small snails very important

In conclusion both are good, start with the one your capital can carry, when building the block or wood house make sure direct sunlight is not entering the snail house, make sure there will be good ventilation entering the snail house
You must plaster the block inside if not the snails will destroy it
If you build without plastering the block, the snails will be eating the block

Make a step today to start from scratch and grow, remove big eyes from the start Agricultural business requires patience, time and consistency
Focus more on how to grow the business than fast big profit from the beginning.

Why I encourage youths to start snail farming instead of staying with out work.

Snail farming is very easy to manage and very lucrative now
When you have this size of snail in your farm like 100 pieces you are already going to make alot of money from it when you sell.

This my snail is very healthy and good for human consumption
I don't use already made snail foods for my snails I make use of organic leafs with a good source of calcium

Healthy snails must have massive weight
Do not be afraid to start when am still alive I will always be there to guide you for free
Start and give it 2 years you will testify

Wednesday best advice for poultry farmers
Learn Eze Ego Mbaise Enterprise method of giving medications

Medication in poultry water is not like food, It has a strict expiration time once it is mixed. medicated water should only stay in front of broiler chickens for 4 to 6 hours maximum in a day. After 6 hours, you must throw out any leftover medicine, wash the drinkers, and give them fresh, plain water.

Why the 6-Hour Limit Matters

1. Loss of Potency (The Medicine Dies): "Most antibiotics, vitamins, and vaccines are highly sensitive. Once they are mixed with water and exposed to the heat, light, and air of the poultry house, they begin to break down. After 6 hours, the medicine loses its power. You aren't treating the birds anymore; you're just giving them stale, chemical water.

2. The Danger of Bacteria: "Sugar-based vitamins and antibiotics create a perfect breeding ground for bacteria in the drinker. If left too long, the water grows slime, and you will end up introducing new diseases to your birds.

3. Kidney Stress: Broilers grow fast, and their internal organs—especially their kidneys and livers—work overtime. Forcing them to drink heavily medicated water for 24 hours straight overloads their system. It stresses them out, which actually slows down their growth.

How to give medication

1. Thirst Strategy: The Early Morning Withdrawal system
"In the early morning, around 6:00 AM, remove their regular drinking water for about 1 hour. Let them eat their morning feed. Because they are eating dry feed without water, they will become quite thirsty.

2. The Medicated Rush
Around 7:30 AM, when the temperature is still cool, you introduce the medicated water. Because they are thirsty, the entire flock will rush to the drinkers. Within 2 to 3 hours, they will have consumed about 80% of the medicine while it is at its highest potency.
After 5 hours flush any remaining water out and give fresh water
Use this strategy when giving them medication evening time.

Please from today choose best time to give your birds medication morning or evening do not repeat medication two times in a day, give your birds fresh water 18 hours in a day 5 hours medication

The Fresh Water growth booster

For the remaining 18 hours of the day and night, give nothing but fresh, clean, plain water.

Growth Secret: "When you remove the bitter or chemical-tasting medicine and replace it with cool, fresh water in the heat of the afternoon, the broilers are happy. They drink greedily. How to Identify cocciodios infection in your poultry farm.

When you see red poo inside your poultry house just know that there is danger and if you did not act fast, you will lose birds.

What to do when you see it.
Get pawpaw leaf juice using my measurement and withdrawal method give them very early in the morning first 2 days next 2 days give bitter leaf juice after 5 hours you have each medication give fresh water
In the afternoon give them vitamin for 4 days after 5 hours give freshwater
In the evening give them Anticoccidial drug for 4 days after 5 hours give fresh water
