A mere mortal could hardly have foreseen or predicted many of the things happening in Nigeria today. That is why some believe Mazi Nnamdi Kanu may have been influenced by a higher spiritual insight. After all, the things of the spirit often appear foolish or ordinary to the carnal-minded.

*The Unity of Nigeria as a Weaponization of People's Rights*
_When "One Nigeria" becomes a tool to silence, control, and deny self-determination_

“One Nigeria” is the loudest slogan in our politics. But for 66 years, that unity has not protected lives, built prosperity, or delivered justice. Instead, it has been weaponized.

*1. Unity used to silence questions*
Any group that asks for restructuring, regional control, or referendum is quickly labeled “enemy of unity”. So “unity” becomes a gag order. It shuts down debate and criminalizes the right of people to discuss their own future.

*2. Unity used to centralize power*
Resources from the Niger Delta, taxes from Lagos, land from the Middle Belt — all flow to Abuja under “national unity”. But the regions that produce the wealth have the least control over it. That’s not unity. That’s centralized extraction in the name of oneness.

*3. Unity used to deny rights*
The right to self-determination is in the UN Charter. Yet in Nigeria, demanding that right is treated as treason. So “unity” is placed above the people’s rights. When a concept is more important than human lives, that concept has become a weapon.

*4. Unity without consent is occupation*
Real unity is voluntary. Marriage without consent is forced. Business without agreement collapses. A nation built on 1914 amalgamation, with no referendum from the people, cannot claim moral unity 66 years later.

*The way forward:*
Stop weaponizing unity against the people. If Nigeria must remain, let it be through negotiation, restructuring, or a new constitution agreed by all nations inside it — like the 1963 regional system. If that fails, let each nation exercise its right to separate peacefully.

“Unity” should protect rights, not cancel them. Until then, “One Nigeria” will remain a slogan used to manage a killing field, not build a free nation.

*Nigeria: A Place of Killing Field*
_Since independence, Nigeria has never known peace. The urgent way forward the world must support_

Since October 1st 1960, Nigeria has been called an “independent” nation. But independence without peace is not freedom. For over 66 years, Nigeria has been a killing field. Bloodshed, insecurity, ethnic clashes, and senseless killings have marked every decade. From the civil war to today’s banditry, kidnapping, and herder-farmer conflicts, peace has remained a dream.

The truth is simple: the 1914 amalgamation by the British forced different nations with different histories, cultures, and interests into one structure that was never designed for their good. That structure has failed.

*The Urgent Way Forward the World Must Support:*

There are only two realistic paths left if Nigeria must survive without more bloodshed:

*1. Go back to the 1963 Constitution - Regional Government*
The 1963 constitution gave each region control over its resources and security. Each region functioned at its own capacity, developed at its own pace, and competed productively. That system brought the fastest growth in Nigeria’s history. Returning to regional government means each group manages its own affairs without domination from the center.

*2. Go a separate way*
If regional government cannot be accepted, then the honest option is separation. Let each nation go back to the way it was before the British colony. Let the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw, Tiv, and other nations determine their own future. Peace comes when people are allowed to govern themselves.

The world cannot keep watching a country bleed for 66 years and call it “unity”. Real unity is voluntary, not forced. For Nigeria to know peace, it must either restructure back to 1963 regionalism, or dissolve back to separate nations like it was before colonial rule.

Anything else is just managing a killing field.

*THE TRAGEDY OF APC-LED GOVERNMENT SINCE 2015 AND THE WAY FORWARD*

Since 2015, Nigeria has been under APC-led leadership. What we have witnessed is not progress, but a deepening tragedy. A country blessed with resources has been reduced to a place where 5% loot while 95% struggle.

Under this system, Nigerians do not feel like citizens. We are treated like tenants in our own land.
Unemployment, insecurity, inflation, and policy failures have become the daily reality. The same people who have undermined this country since 1960 have been allowed to continue, because the majority stay silent and stay home on election day.

But it does not have to remain this way.

The coming election is another chance to decide our future. Your *PVC is your gateway to citizenship*. Without it, you have no say in whether Nigeria remains united, breaks apart, or returns to regional governance where every region develops at its own pace.

So here is my call to every Nigerian aged 18 and above:
*Get your PVC. Don’t let anyone discourage you by saying “votes don’t count.”*
Votes don’t count when you sit back and let them. But when we come out in our numbers, we take back the power to decide.

*The way forward is simple:*
1. *Register and collect your PVC*
2. *Vote with your conscience*
3. *Protect your vote and hold leaders accountable afterward*

Nigeria belongs to all of us, not to the few looting it. The time to act is now.

*Note:* On Election Day, after voting, I respectfully encourage Nigerians to stay behind and monitor the counting of votes. Protect your mandate.
