"You can't grow tomatoes in the South."

That's what they used to say. This farmer proved them wrong.

For years, tomato and pepper farming was seen as a "Northern Nigeria thing" the climate up North was thought to be the only place it could really work.

But things have changed! With greenhouse farming and drip irrigation, southern farmers (like us at PSF!) are growing healthy, thriving tomatoes and peppers rain or no rain, dry season or not.

Technology doesn't just help farming... it changes what's even possible.

Sometimes, growing more means cutting more!

At PSF, we regularly prune our tomato and pepper plants, removing the extra "sucker" shoots so the plant puts its energy into growing bigger, better fruits instead of just more leaves.

It also lets air flow through the plants, keeping disease away. Less clutter, more tomatoes.

If soil pH climbs too high, nutrients like iron and zinc get "locked away" even if they're in the soil, your plant can't reach them!

Thinking you can just set up a greenhouse and automatically harvest giant bell peppers without any training is a trap!
Greenhouse farming is NOT plug-and-play.
You have to learn how to read plant leaves, manage daily humidity, balance liquid nutrients, and spot tiny pests before they turn into a full-blown infestation.

Skipping this technical know-how is why so many beautiful setups end up abandoned after just one season.

The greenhouse structure gives you control, but your brain has to supply the skill! Before you plant your first seed, spend time learning the actual science of crop care, or make sure you have a trained expert managing the lines.

Don't let lack of knowledge turn a great investment into a painful lesson, learn the craft first!

Ever wonder why some tomato farms just seem to "get it right"?

It starts underground, with the soil! At PSF, we keep our soil pH between 6.8 and 7.2 — not too sour, not too sweet — so our tomatoes and peppers can drink up all their nutrients properly.

Think of it like the stomach of your plant: if the pH is off, no amount of "good food" (fertiliser) gets absorbed!
