Nuriyah’s mum called… and we answered!

And honestly, this was one of those client experiences that reminded us why we love what we do.

She was an early planner, very specific, very detailed, and most importantly, open to recommendations. From the cake design to the theme, she trusted us to bring ideas to the table for her princess.

But what really got me? Even after planning the cake, she was still thinking ahead about the little details ..she requested a cupcake and candle specifically for a special birthday content moment for her baby girl.

THAT level of detail? We understand it!

There’s something about seeing a cake finally dressed, boxed and ready to leave the kitchen…

Because somewhere before this moment, there was a conversation.

An idea.

A picture sent with “I want something like this…”

A few decisions.

A little bit of creativity.

And then suddenly, here we are.

One of my favourite parts of what I do is watching an idea leave someone’s imagination and become something they can actually hold.

And yes, I know it’s “just cake.”

But when you’re making something for someone’s birthday, wedding, anniversary, christening, surprise or special moment…

sometimes the cake is carrying a little piece of the celebration with it.

So today, I'm just letting you see one of the beautiful things that left our bakery.

No long talk today.

Five looks so beautiful on Princess Zuriel.

The very first time we made Iremide's cake, she was just 8 days old. 🥹🤍

It was her christening cake.

Today, she's celebrating her 5th birthday, and once again, we had the honour of being part of her special day. What a beautiful journey it has been!

One of the greatest joys of the TY Cakes experience is growing with our customers celebrating their milestones, year after year, while serving cakes that are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

This super-luxury chocolate ganache beauty was created for Iremide's ballerina-themed celebration, and we absolutely loved every detail.

Who would've thought? 🥹

Not me.

In the middle of our anniversary shoot
with cake frosting, camera lights, snack breaks, and all the beautiful behind-the-scenes chaos......I was casually asked

"How does it feel to be 10 years in business?"
I didn't have a rehearsed answer. I simply spoke from my heart.

If you had told me 10 years ago that what started as a hobby would grow into TY Cakes, and eventually give birth to Sip n Nibble by TY and THE SACRED SCRIBE (TSS), I probably wouldn't have believed you.

Looking back, I'm simply grateful for God's faithfulness and for every single person who has been part of this journey.

Over the past 10 years, we've learnt that creating a beautiful cake is only part of the journey. The experience, the care, the conversations, and the little details matter just as much.
