Crunchy homemade chin chin never disappoints 😍✨

Here’s the full recipe you need for a big batch👇🏽

Ingredients
• 1095g flour (5 cups)
• 250g sugar (1¼ cups)
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1¼ tsp baking powder
• 2 tsp nutmeg
• 105g margarine
• 2½ TbSp milk flavor
• 3 eggs
• 2 cups water (add gradually)

Method

1. Mix all dry ingredients together.
2. Whisk eggs separately.
3. Add wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gradually add water until the dough comes together soft and smooth.
4. Knead for 5 minutes.
5. Roll out dough on a floured surface.
6. Cut into strips, then cubes.
7. Fry until golden brown and crunchy 😍

Most doughnuts fail inside the oil 👀
Not because of the recipe—but because of technique.

If you want doughnuts that are:
✔️ Golden, not burnt
✔️ Soft, not oily
✔️ Light, not heavy

Then you must:

1️⃣ Fry only well-proofed dough
Your doughnut should be light, airy, and bounce back when touched.

2️⃣ Control your oil temperature
Use medium heat.
Too hot = brown outside, raw inside.
Too cold = oily, doughnuts.

3️⃣ Do not overcrowd the pan
Overcrowding drops oil temperature and causes uneven frying.

4️⃣ Flip once, gently
Constant flipping damages structure and affects even browning.

5️⃣ Drain immediately after frying
Remove doughnuts onto a rack or servitte to prevent oil retention.

These steps are small—but they make a huge difference in texture, taste, and appearance.
