CHEF AGOGO NANCY CHIMUANYA

The Association of Professional Chefs Nigeria (APCN) proudly celebrates Chef Agogo Nancy Chimuanya on her appointment as APCN Presidential Representative - South East.

Chef Nancy is a Professional Chef with over 5 years of experience in African and Continental cuisine. A B.Sc holder in Education/Biology from University of Port Harcourt, and holder of a Diploma in Hospitality Cookery and Catering Craft Practice. She currently serves as Sous Chef at Obhiaba Global Ventures, where she leads menu development, team training, and vendor management.

Previously at Samsco Palace Hotel and Food Perfect Culinary Institute, she is recognized for improving kitchen efficiency, reducing waste by 40%, and upholding the highest hygiene and food safety standards.

As a proud APCN member, Chef Nancy embodies leadership, innovation, and service. We are confident she will champion the interests of chefs in the South East, promote our culinary heritage, and uphold the dignity of the white jacket.

We are immensely proud to celebrate one of APCN’s high-ranking members, Akintunde Adeshina Adekunle - ChefShine, who has been named the National Orientation Agency’s Nigerian of the Week!

This national recognition is for his outstanding embodiment of Entrepreneurship and Duty of Care - two core values of the National Values Charter.

National President Attends UN World Gastronomy Day in Lagos

The Association of Professional Chefs Nigeria was well represented at the UN World Gastronomy Day celebration, hosted by the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture & Food Systems .

The event, held in partnership with , and , marked the second official public outing of Dr. Chef Mekwuye Eric since assuming office as National President of APCN.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
1. Strategic Partnerships Reinforced: Dr. Chef Eric expressed appreciation to and the Nigerian Council for Art & Culture (NCAC) for reaffirming the collaborative partnership with APCN to advance Nigeria’s culinary and cultural heritage.
2. Industry Engagement: He also held productive conversations with and extended an invitation for a future engagement at the HBH Hotel School, Lagos .
3. Networking & Recognition: The President connected with culinary stakeholders including , , , and commended for excellence in the industry.
4. Team Appreciation: Special recognition was given to the APCN team, & , for their continued support and representation.
