Dear Young Agripreneur,
You must first have an undying interest to build a career in this space

The Theme: Navigating Opportunities in Nigeria's Evolving Agricultural Sector for the AgriCareer Shift is not to be ignored. Nigeria's agricultural sector needs young people who are prepared to see agriculture not merely as subsistence farming, but as a profession, business, investment opportunity and avenue for innovation.
The next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs will need more than passion.

They will need:
- Knowledge.
- Practical experience.
- Business skills.
- Technology.
- Market understanding.
- Access to networks.
- And the willingness to learn.

That is why opportunities that connect young people with real agricultural businesses matter.

Dear Young Agripreneur,

Being an agripreneur means seeing a problem and asking, “How can agriculture provide the solution?”

Agriculture needs young people who are ready to learn, innovate, take risks and create value.

The opportunity is here. Learn it. Build it. Grow it.

Dear Young Agripreneur,

You must understand why farm exposure matters. Agriculture is much bigger than simply rearing, planting harvesting and Processing.

There are various opportunities in the agric space ranging from Production → Processing → Packaging → Logistics → Marketing → Technology → Finance → Research → Extension → Export → Agribusiness Management
A visit like this gives young people an opportunity to see that ecosystem firsthand.

Truthfully, it was more than a farm tour. The participants didn't just walk around the farm. They observed, interacted, asked questions and engaged in discussions about what it actually takes to operate an agricultural enterprise.

Their questions reflected a growing interest among young people in understanding:
- How we operate as an agricultural businesses in Ado-Ekiti
- We discussed career opportunities available within agricultural sector
- How can they be part of systems within and how they can connect with existing agricultural businesses
- How young people can build businesses around agriculture
- The realities and challenges of starting a poultry and piggery farming
- Asides farming, what skills are needed to succeed in the sector

We were excited to always contribute to that learning experience by sharing our own practical perspective and allowing the participants to engage directly with the farm environment.

YOUNG AGRICULTURAL ENTHUSIASTS VISITED OUR FARM

On 27 August 2026, we welcomed participants of the AgriCareer Tour to Ekiti State.

It was more than a farm tour. The participants explored our operations, asked questions, and engaged in conversations around agribusiness, career opportunities, poultry and piggery farming, and how young people can connect with existing agricultural businesses.

Their curiosity reminded us that young people need more than encouragement to enter agriculture they need practical exposure to the realities and opportunities within the sector.

We sincerely appreciate YPARD Nigeria Young Professionals for Agricultural Development - YPARD for including us LAWRAC FARMS in the tour and every participant for their questions, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

The future of agriculture will not be built by farmers alone. It will be built by young people who are ready to learn, innovate and create opportunities across the agricultural value chain.
