We are delighted to mark the second anniversary of Nations' Delight Cuisine! 🥳 Our gratitude goes to God for guiding us thus far. Although we maintained a relatively low profile on social media, our commitment to serving delectable meals at various events remained unwavering.

Let's take a retrospective look at the highlights of the past year, during which we experienced significant growth, and we are thrilled to share some key statistics with you.

We successfully catered to over 300 individuals and efficiently cooked nearly a bag of rice under 48 hours. Our influence expanded remarkably, with God broadening our reach and enabling us to expand our operations beyond Lagos and Ogun to another state in Nigeria.

Notably, we handled food preparation for an event that spanned almost three days, and in our new location, we have had the privilege of cooking for around five events, including a school's end-of-year party and various church events.

We believe that this is only the beginning, and our best days are ahead.

To our esteemed clients, supporters, and referrers, Nations’ Delight Cuisine, the home of sumptuous and mouth-watering meals, extend our heartfelt gratitude for choosing us, and we appreciate your loyalty.

I grew up with a love for the kitchen environment but didn't know that I would one day become a caterer.

Fast forward to many years after, close to the end of my undergraduate studies, specifically in January 2024, a unique vision was birthed.

If you must achieve the unimaginable in life, then you must be ready to take risks.

I trusted in God and took the risk of launching my catering brand.

In the last one year, I have had highs and lows. I've made mistakes and achieved milestones. I must also add that I have grown in leaps and bounds.

This brand has provided me with the opportunity of preparing pastries and delicious foods for amazing clients.

Recently, towards the end of January, we had the opportunity of delivering 200 doughnuts to a first time client. Attached is a part of her review.

So, last week Sunday, I had my first job for the year.💃 Glory to God.

I do not take Sunday jobs anymore because I prioritize my Sunday service but food was needed for a YPF programme in my home-church state headquarters.

I took the offer. Why not? Anything for my God and His people.

I was to prepare jollof rice and panla fish for about 100 persons.

*Tuesday is for kitchen hacks.* Let's have it.

Wikipedia defines kitchen hack, also known as a food hack, as a technique used by home cooks and professionals to make food preparation tasks easier, faster, or more efficient. Below are a few cooking hacks that could be useful for you soon.

1.) *Use a wine or soft drink bottle as a rolling pin.* I have used this many times while preparing to fry chinchin.

2.) *Peel garlic by shaking it in a jar.*
"Rather than smashing individual garlic cloves with the side of your knife to loosen the skins -- or fruitlessly trying to pick them off with your fingernails -- all you need is a jar with a lid, or two small metal bowls inverted together. Add garlic cloves, shake vigorously, and voilà! Perfectly peeled garlic without the lingering, tell-tale aroma beneath your fingernails."

3.) *Add oil to your pasta water to prevent sticking.*
I trust that a lot of us are familiar with this. Oh yeah. Try this the next time you are preparing spaghetti.

4.) *Keep ginger in the freezer for easy grating.*
To make it easy to grate your ginger, put it in the freezer.

6.) *Cut pizza with scissors.*
Using scissors to cut your pizza is absolutely a genius act. Try it the next time you buy pizza or make one.

7.) *Dice Eggs with a cooling rack.*
"Genius kitchen tip—use a cooling rack to dice eggs! You can push a cooling rack through a hard-boiled egg to smoothly dice it. This kitchen hack works on avocados, too."

8.) *Extend the Life of Herbs with Water.*
"Nothing is worse than buying fresh herbs and having them wilt the next day. Keep herbs like parsley and cilantro bright with this simple storage tip. Trim the stems and place them in a small glass of water. Then place a plastic bag (like the one you got at the grocer) over top and secure by tying the plastic in a knot or wrapping it with kitchen twine. Store in the fridge or on the counter for up to two weeks!"

9.) *Use a Damp Dish Towel to Keep Bowls Steady.*
