URGENT QUESTION 🚨
I came across an incident close to my apartment today and it honestly got me thinking…
Does a house help have the right to beat your child when the child is wrong? 👀
Before you answer emotionally, think about it carefully.
Some parents actually give their house helps full permission to discipline their children because they believe:
“If you’re taking care of my child, you should be able to correct them too.”
But others feel it’s completely unacceptable for someone they employed to lay hands on their child no matter what the child did.
Now here’s where it gets controversial…
Some children are extremely stubborn and disrespectful when their parents aren’t around, some even when their parents are present which I have witness. They insult, scatter things, refuse instructions, even hit younger siblings because they know the house help “cannot touch them.”
So what exactly is the house help supposed to do in that situation? Fold hands and watch? 🤔
At the same time, we’ve also seen cases where “discipline” turns into frustration, hatred, and outright abuse. Some house helps beat children harder than they would ever beat their own.
Honestly, I’m divided on this one because correction is necessary… but should physical punishment come from a house help?
What do you think?
Should a house help be allowed to beat a child when the child is wrong, YES or NO? 👀🔥
