The fishes you stocked for December sales, hope they are doing well.

Remember this is period and October, you need to feed them well so they can grow well. By November 1st week, You start feeding them so they can gain weight.

Don't forget to complement their feed with chicken intestine.

There is going to be massive demand for catfish table size by December. Take care of your fishes well.

If you have a passion for fish farming, then this is for you.

Fish farming is a Very good business, profitable if you have the right knowledge.
Many won't tell you this secret but I will tell you here for free.

This business is highly profitable and also capital intensive but you can start small. Starting small is the best way to grow in this business if you are doing grow out.

The reason why many fail and run out the business is greed. They want to start big and make it big. Many also don't even have 30% knowledge about fish farming.

They venture into it and fail. These are the people that will come back to say that there is no profit in fish farming because they have failed in it.

This is the secret. Before going into fish farming, acquire at least 50-60% knowledge in fish farming. The remaining 40%, you learn it in the field which is very normal.

The basic training is first of all how to keep your farm clean. Fishes don't like dirty environments. They want clean water where there is enough oxygen for them to survive.

They want quality and good feeds and not expired ones. They want where they can freely move when they have finished eating ( enough space). Fishes grow fast and do better when they have enough space.

If you are into fish farming, you will notice that fishes always greet you when you come to your farm in the morning. Once they notice you are around, they swim towards you.

They also give you signs when all is not well with them. The question is, Do you know when they are giving you signs?

When feeding them, they also communicate to you when they are fully fed.

If you haven't known all these, please don't go into fish farming. You will end up wasting your money when you have faced heavy mortality.

My advice is get knowledge about fish farming. If you are the smart one, get an online training on fish farming then do further research. If you prefer onsite training, visit a farm and learn.

We have been doing online and onsite training for those who are passionate about fish farming.

Take this opportunity this September on the 22nd and get this skill. I want to help those interested. We are starting both on-line and onsite training on the following

-Knowing when the female broodstock is fully dialeted.
- Stripping eggs
-Carrying out artificial fertilization
- Spawning of the fertilizer eggs
- Running a continuous flow through
- Feeding the new hatched fries

Before you stock your fishes in earthen pond and if the pond have been used before, make sure you do what is called liming.

Do you know what liming is? You put lime in that pond before introducing water in it.

If you are using concrete pond that have not been used before, fertilize the pond before using it. Check the videos I made and you can learn practical ways to feetilze your ponds.

If you are using a trampoline that have not been used before, only wash it with salt, fill it with water and leave it for a day or two, then remove the water and put fresh one before introducing your fishes.

Always wash your ponds regularly to avoid infections and diseases. Keep your environment clean and you will see your fishes do well.
