It was a pleasure facilitating a session for the Agribusiness Management Programme (AgMP 28) at the Lagos Business School.

As a proud member of Cohort 11, it was inspiring to see how far the programme has evolved.

One thing that stood out was the strong integration of industry practitioners and experts, bringing real-world perspectives directly into the learning experience.

Special commendation to Dr. Adedeji (second photo) and his team, Lydia, Jane, Lillian and others for the remarkable work being done.

The programme continues to grow in relevance, quality, and impact.

The future of agriculture will be shaped not only by what we know, but by how effectively we connect knowledge with practice.

The real value of a Farmers Market has very little to do with shopping.

Yes, you can buy fresh vegetables, honey, spices, fruits, salads, juices, and other wholesome products.

But that's not the real value.

The real value is connection.

Connection to the entrepreneur who wakes up every day to produce healthier options for your family.

At a Farmers Market, food has a face.

You get to learn.

You are strengthening the local economy.

This is why I enjoy vending at the Farmers Market.

Farming should not feel like a risk to our lives.

Listening to share her experience is heartbreaking and deeply concerning.

No woman should have to choose between feeding communities and feeling unsafe while doing honest work on her farm.

The reality is that insecurity across many farming communities in the South West is affecting lives, livelihoods, food production, and the emotional wellbeing of farmers especially women.

We need stronger protection for farmers, better community collaboration, and more serious attention to rural safety.

Farmers are not just producing your food. We are nation builders.

Standing in solidarity with every farmer silently carrying fear while still showing up to work the land.

May our farms become places of peace again.
