Having more pigs does not automatically mean having a more productive or profitable farm. What happens every day matters.

Nutrition: Pigs need the right feed, in the right quantity, at the right stage of growth.

Water: Clean, accessible water is essential for good health and performance.

Housing: Proper ventilation, space, drainage, and comfortable housing help reduce stress and support healthy growth.

Hygiene: Clean pens and good sanitation practices can help reduce health challenges.

👀 Health monitoring: Regular observation helps farmers notice changes in appetite, behaviour, movement, or appearance early.

Record-keeping: Keeping accurate records of feed, treatments, breeding, growth, mortality, and expenses helps farmers make better decisions.

The difference between farms is often not the number of pigs they start with, but how well those pigs are managed.
