🌰 Every Seed Has a Purpose! 🌱♻️

Today, we sorted shea seeds into two groups: healthy seeds for planting and damaged seeds for composting.

The healthy seeds were carefully selected because they are viable and capable of growing into strong, healthy shea trees. Before planting, the seeds are soaked in water to soften their hard seed coats, allowing them to absorb moisture more easily. This helps speed up germination and gives the seedlings a better start.

The damaged or unhealthy seeds were separated and left to decompose for compost production. Rather than becoming waste, they break down into nutrient-rich organic matter that improves soil structure, enhances soil fertility, and supports the healthy growth of future crops. This is a simple but effective way of promoting sustainable agriculture while minimizing waste.

Every step in this process has a purpose. Good seeds secure the future of our forests, while bad seeds nourish the soil that sustains new life. That's the beauty of working with nature—nothing is wasted when it's managed wisely. 🌍💚
