Mama, let’s talk about something many of us buy because it makes feeding our little ones easier. ❤️
Canned and packaged baby foods can be convenient, but convenience should not replace nutrition.
Some highly processed baby foods may contain added sugar, excess sodium, refined ingredients, or fewer whole-food ingredients than you might expect. And just because a product is labelled “baby food” doesn't automatically mean it is the most nutritious option for your child.
For your baby, what matters is nutrient density and variety — foods that provide important nutrients like iron, protein, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals needed for growth and development.
Before buying any packaged baby food, mama, turn the pack around and read the ingredients and nutrition information. 👀
Ask yourself:
• What are the main ingredients?
• Does it contain added sugar?
• Is there a good source of protein or iron?
• How processed is it?
• Is it giving my baby real nutritional value or simply filling the tummy?
And when possible, incorporating fresh, properly prepared, nutrient-rich foods into your baby's diet can give you more control over exactly what goes into their food. ❤️
A full tummy is good. A well-nourished tummy is better. 🥰
Mama, don't just feed your baby. Know what you're feeding your baby. 💚
