Today, Saturday 17th January, the former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammad Adamu Abubakar, Walin Lafia (NPM, MNI, CFR), paid a condolence visit and attended the burial ceremony of late Godiya Akwashiki at the Central Church, Chategra, Lafia. The presence of the former IGP at the burial was a show of sympathy, respect, and solidarity with the bereaved family during this moment of deep sorrow and loss.
He was accompanied by notable personalities, including the Turakin Lafia, Sandaje Tancy Almakura Jebo, alhassan adamu hussine alongside other associates, leaders, and members of the community. Their attendance reflected the strong bond of unity, compassion, and shared responsibility toward one another within Lafia and Nasarawa State at large.
During the burial ceremony, prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed, while words of comfort and encouragement were extended to the family of late Godiya Akwashiki. The former IGP expressed his heartfelt condolences, urging the family to remain strong and to take solace in God, while assuring them of his continuous prayers and support.
