NOBODY IS COMING TO BUILD YOUR DREAM FOR YOU. READ THAT AGAIN.‼️

At some point in your life, you will have to realize that nobody is coming to do the work for you.

Nobody is coming to force you to be disciplined.
Nobody is coming to make you learn that skill.
Nobody is coming to push you out of your comfort zone.
Nobody is coming to make that business work.
Nobody is coming to turn your ideas into reality.

You can have the best ideas, the biggest dreams, and even people who genuinely want to see you succeed. But at the end of the day, YOU have to do the work.

And sometimes, doing the work means doing things you are not comfortable with.

It means making that call even when you're afraid of rejection.
It means showing up even when the results are not encouraging.
It means learning when you'd rather relax.
It means starting small when you wish you could start big.

One thing I am beginning to understand is that the life you desire will require a version of you that you have not fully become yet.

You cannot keep doing the same things and expect a different result.

Abeg, stop waiting for the perfect time, perfect connection, perfect opportunity, or somebody to come and motivate you every morning.

Start with what you have.
Learn what you don't know.
Improve where you need to.

5 THINGS YOUR AGENT MAY NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THAT PROPERTY

Let me tell you something…

Not every property being marketed to you is automatically a good investment for YOU.

Here are 5 questions you should be asking before you pay:

1. WILL THE CONCEPT YOU HAVE IN MIND FIT THAT LOCATION?

You want to build a duplex, hotel, plaza, farm, Airbnb or something else?

Don't just ask, “Is this land genuine?”

Ask whether the location, road network, surrounding development and planning considerations actually support what you want to do.

2. HOW LONG WILL THIS AREA REALISTICALLY TAKE TO DEVELOP?

“Development is coming” is not a timeline.

Ask what is already happening around the area, what infrastructure exists today and what development is actually planned.

3. WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ROADS DURING RAINY SEASON?

A road can look perfect in December.

What happens when the rain starts?

Can you still access the property easily?
Does the road flood?
Does it become muddy or impassable?

4. WHAT ARE THE HIDDEN COSTS AFTER YOU BUY?

Land price is not always the full cost.

Ask about survey, documentation, development levies, fencing, service charges, infrastructure contributions and other possible expenses.

Know your total investment, not just the selling price.

5. WHO ARE YOU ACTUALLY BUYING FROM AND WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU BUYING?

Don't be carried away by beautiful estate designs, renders and sweet promises.

Know the owner.
Know the title.
Verify the documents.
Understand the exact size and location of the land.
And most importantly, carry out proper due diligence before payment.

Because real estate is not just about buying land.

It is about buying the RIGHT land, in the RIGHT location, for the RIGHT purpose, at the RIGHT price.

And that's why you need more than someone who can sell you a property.

You need someone who can guide you through the investment process.

That is the difference between an agent chasing a commission and a consultant creating value.

You know, I have been wondering what it really takes to be exceptional, to stand out and to be different from the crowd.

And honestly, I am beginning to realise that it's not always the big things. Sometimes, it's the little things we overlook.

It's how you communicate.
How you carry yourself.
How you treat people.
How you pay attention to details.
How you show up, even when nobody is watching.
How you keep your word.
How you handle situations when things don't go your way.

It's the little things that make a BIG difference.
You don't necessarily have to be the loudest person in the room, the richest or the most connected.

Sometimes, all you need is to be intentional about the things you do, consistent with your values and deliberate about the person you're becoming.

Because being exceptional is not always about doing extraordinary things. Sometimes, it's about doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. ❤️
