I thought I married the perfect man."

For three years, Tola's husband left home every morning dressed for work. He paid bills, bought gifts, and never gave her a reason to doubt him
One afternoon, Tola decided to surprise him at his office with lunch.
When she arrived, the receptionist looked confused.

"Who are you here to see?"

"My husband, Kunle Adeyemi."
The receptionist checked the staff list and shook her head.

"Ma, nobody by that name works here."
Tola's heart dropped.

After investigating, she discovered the shocking truth: her husband had lost his job
over a year ago and had been pretending to go to work every day. He spent his days driving a friend's taxi while secretly searching for employment.

When she confronted him, tears filled his eyes.
"I wasn't cheating," he said. "I was ashamed. I didn't want you to see me as a failure."
Tola realized that while his lie came from fear, deception had still broken the trust in their marriage.
That day, they learned a painful lesson:

A marriage can survive financial hardship, but it struggles when honesty disappears.
