This is our Export Standard Catfish.

We smoke it until it is completely dry, so it can travel/ship without needing a freezer.

Then we pack it carefully because very dry catfish can break easily.

No fancy packaging is needed.
Just properly dried, properly wrapped, and properly packed for the journey.

When it gets to you, snack on it right away or cook with it. Simple!

What makes Bone Broth so special?

It is very simple.

We take bones and joints and slowly cook them in water for many hours.

Why?

Because those bones and joints contain collagen.

During the long cooking, some of that collagen breaks down into gelatin and goes into the broth.

That is why your bone broth may turn into jelly when you put it in the fridge. 😍

You can:

✅️Drink it warm
✅️Add it to your soup or stew
✅️Cook your rice with it
✅️ Add it to everyday meals

And because ours has no preservatives, please keep it frozen.

Bone Broth is not ordinary meat water (omi eran).

Bones + joints + water + long slow cooking.

That is Bone Broth.

Bone broth and omi eran (meat stock) are not the same thing.

Omi eran / meat stock:
You cook your meat in water. The water takes on the flavour of the meat, and you use it for your soup or stew.

Bone broth:
The focus is mainly on bones and connective tissues, slowly cooked for many hours.

That long cooking helps break down collagen from the connective tissues into gelatin, which is why a good bone broth may turn jelly-like when cold.

So, very simply:

🍖 Meat + shorter cooking = Meat stock / Omi eran

🦴 Bones + connective tissues + long slow cooking = Bone broth

Both are useful.

But they are not the same thing.

When you fry meat, you cook it with oil.

When you smoke meat, you cook it with heat and smoke.

Fried meat gets its taste from frying.

Smoked meat gets that special smoky taste and smell from the smoking process.

At Tad Farms, we smoke our meat. We don’t fry it.
