I made this beautiful cake for a client during last week. She called specifically to ask how much is size 6 cake, I gave her prices for different layers. And she settled for one layer, few minutes later she requested for picture sample, some how I feel skeptical about it because I know how cakes usually look big in pic and the few size 6 cake in my gallery were looking big like size 8 except one that appear smaller compared to others, so I sent that one and told her, I don't have size 6 sample, this one is size 7 and size 6 is smaller.
For her to call and request for size 6, you would actually thought she knew those sizes, with that, I still didn't assume, I explained in details what size 6 cake is on voice call and eventually she said I should make size 7 instead.
And then, she started negotiating price again, I gave her the cake at the most ridiculous price I would ever make that cake because of the way she was begging and all.
And then the delivery day, she called me and said the cake I actually made for her was less than size 6, that the size 6 she usually buy is bigger than the size 7 I sent to her.
I laugh in spanish, are there two size 6 pan that I don't know. Lol, I don't even have time for long talk, I told her to carry the cake to any baker around her and ask for the size or she should carry tape rule and measure, if the size is not correct, she should call me, I will collect the cake and refund her.
I didn't even think too much about it because that period I was busy about how to make 460 wraps for small chops, slice cabbages and carrot and meet up with the delivery the next day.
Yea, once in a while, we will definitely encounter customer like this.
