💬💬 Simple Guide to the Gumboro Vaccine for Broiler Chickens

📝📝📝 Gumboro Disease:
Gumboro disease harms chickens' immune systems, making them more prone to infections.

📝📝📝 The Vaccine:
The Gumboro vaccine helps protect young broiler chickens (typically vaccinated between 7-14 days old) from this disease.

📝📝📝 How it's Given:
👉👉 Drinking Water: Often mixed with the chickens' drinking water.
👉👉Eye Drops/Spray:** Sometimes given as eye drops or sprayed over the flock.

📝📝📝 Dosage & Mixing:
The vaccine comes in powder or liquid form. For example, one vial may be mixed with 1 liter of water for around 1,000 chickens. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper dosing.

Vaccinating early ensures your chickens are protected from Gumboro disease, helping them grow stronger and healthier.

How to manage or treat your birds 🦢if unwell.

🗣️🗣️🗣️ Here are the simple instructions to follow if you notice your bird(s) unwell:

- examine 🧐. Check the bird for any sign or clue to understand what is wrong.

- isolate 🚚. Separate any bird that is unwell from the rest. This is will prevent rest and bullying from other good birds.

- hydrate 💦. Help the unwell bird with water even if required to spoon feed the bird. Water is very important in every aspect of metabolism in birds

- feeding 🍼. It is also paramount to help the unwell bird with feed. You can assist with glucose.

- Drugs 💊. Try drugs. If the infection is viral, try the antiviral drug. Bacterial infection will require antibiotics. It is better to see vet doctor rather than doing is yourself.

- wait and see 👀. Continue the above and be patient. Give it time to recover.

- Euthanasia. Helps to stop the sufferings if it fails to recover from the illness.

Hello guys,

Any advice? These are just 12 days old. They have had first dose of gumboro and also abx and anti viral prophylaxis ( 3 days). I will appreciate your advice
