SCRIPTURE: _Psalm 23:5_ – “Thou anointest my head with oil...”
WORD OF GRACE
Beloved, today the Shepherd is doing something special for you — He is anointing you.
In Bible days, oil meant 3 things:
1. OIL = THE HOLY SPIRIT
When a king was crowned, they poured oil on his head. It meant: _God has chosen you and empowered you._
Today, God is pouring fresh oil on you. Not the oil you had last year. Not dry religion. A fresh grace for September.
_1 John 2:27_ “The anointing which ye have received of him abide in you...”
This oil will give you wisdom for decisions, power for prayer, and boldness to stand.
2. OIL = FAVOR AND HONOR
Shepherds pour oil on sheep’s heads to heal wounds and keep flies away.
Spiritually, God’s oil covers your shame. He is healing old hurts and shutting the mouth of critics.
Where people rejected you, the oil will cause them to respect you. Where doors were closed, the oil will make them open.
_Psalm 89:20_ “With my holy oil have I anointed him.”
3. OIL = NEW ASSIGNMENT
Oil is for service. Priests were anointed to minister. Kings were anointed to rule.
God is not just blessing you to sit down. He is anointing you for a new assignment this month — in your family, business, ministry, and church.
Dryness is over. Stagnation is over. Fresh oil means fresh results.
As Christians,we understand oil. We use it in prayer, in anointing, in deliverance. Today, the Shepherd Himself is the one applying it. No man did it. God did it.
You will not run dry. You will not burn out. Because the oil does not run out.
PRAYER:
Father, in Jesus name, anoints me afresh today. Let Your Spirit rest upon me. Anoint my head, my hands, and my work. Let fresh flavor, fresh grace, and fresh power fall on me. Use me for Your glory. Amen.
DECLARATION:
I am anointed.
I walk in fresh oil and fresh flavor.
The oil of God is upon my life and it will not dry.
