✨ When my business Doja Culinary Company was just 2 years old in 2018, AWEC was one of the very first entrepreneurial communities I joined — and it has remained one of the most impactful ones ever since.
The African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) isn’t just another program. For me, it was the gift that kept giving:
💡 Lasting relationships that turned into sisters, friends, business partners, clients and colleagues.
🌍 Opportunities like joining the Alpha Team at the The Center for Global Enterprise (the_c_g_e) (where I worked on global go-to-market strategies with Dusit Hotels and Resorts across 19 countries and over 300 locations).
📈 And powerful learnings that not only shaped my business but continue to influence my other ventures and entrepreneurial journey since then.
Even now, as a program manager and ecosystem builder designing initiatives that support tech startups, traditional businesses, and capacity-building for youth and women, I can trace back the way I think about program quality, design, and impact to the clarity and perspectives I gained from AWEC.
Now, I’m excited to serve as a Recruitment Ambassador for AWEC Cohort 9 🎉
