We've been doing some digging into the reusable water bottle market for the past few weeks, and thought it'd be some boring data. It turns out this is a growing industry (somewhere between $9-13B in 2025/2026), and the reasons behind it are less "eco trend" and more "people found out what's in bottled water."

A few things to know:
- Steel bottles are catching up to plastic faster than expected
- Only about 9% of all plastic ever made has been recycled
- Microplastics showed up in over 90% of bottled water brands worldwide

Enough for now. Link is below if you want the full market data.

The world buys about 1 million plastic bottles every minute. That is not a mistake or typo, and it is not an exaggeration either. It is a figure tracked by the United Nations Environment Programme …

With some years in the beverage industry, watching and studying trends come and go, one particular beverage seems to stick more, but most people don't understand what they're drinking.

Here's what I think: Yes, it has probiotics. Yes, the research supports digestive benefits. But it doesn't cure everything, just as you might have been informed before now. Yes, it's pricey, but you can make it at home more cheaply.

Here's the thing about green tea that most people get wrong: it's not actually a miracle cure. But what it is might surprise you.

For thousands of years, people drank green tea knowing it made them feel sharper, calmer, and healthier. Now science is catching up to what ancient cultures already figured out.

The research is pretty compelling. We're talking about real cardiovascular benefits. Healthy brain support. Measurable improvements in blood sugar control. The kind of health advantages that add up over months and years of consistent consumption.

But here's what matters most: the benefits of green tea aren't complicated. They're documented in various studies and research from major medical institutions. They work across multiple body systems simultaneously.

We spent time reviewing the actual science to show you exactly what the benefits of green tea really are, and what they're not. How much you actually need to drink.

The answer might be simpler than you think. READ THE FULL ARTICLE -

Plastic makes up 45% of all beverage packaging globally. But only 25% of it gets recycled in the US.

That gap between what is recyclable and what gets recycled is one of the most important things to understand about drink packaging sustainability.

Here is what most people do not know:
— Over 70% of consumers now factor sustainability into their drink purchasing decisions. That is a majority.
— Aluminum is currently the strongest performer on recyclability. It can be recycled indefinitely without losing quality, and the process requires less energy than producing it from raw ore.
— Glass is endlessly recyclable and chemically safe, but it is heavier than plastic or aluminum, which means higher transport emissions. Context matters when comparing materials.
— Paper-based beverage packaging is projected to grow by 43% in the coming years, but liquid barrier coatings still complicate recyclability for many products.
— Plant-based packaging works well for still drinks. The carbonation challenge has not been fully solved yet for sparkling beverages.

The brands leading on this — Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling, Carlsberg, PepsiCo Europe are the ones that invested in systems and materials.

CCH made 100% of its primary packaging recyclable by design in 2022, three years ahead of its own target. Carlsberg's Snap Pack eliminated more than 1,200 tonnes of plastic annually by replacing plastic multipack rings with a small amount of adhesive glue. But not everyone is ahead of schedule. Danone achieved only 17% recycled content in 2024 against a 25% target. That is a sign of how structurally difficult this challenge is.

The full report — materials, regulations, brand performance, what consumers can actually do, and where the industry is headed by 2030 — is in our latest publication.

The global non-alcoholic beverages market is on track to reach $1.55 trillion by 2026, and it is growing at a pace that has even caught the attention of major alcohol brands. Constellation Brands, one of the biggest names in beer and wine, has already invested in Hiyo, a non-alcoholic functional tonic. That is legacy alcohol money moving into the alcohol-free space.

But the bigger story is why. More than two-thirds of drinkers say alcohol has become noticeably more expensive. Nearly 30% of Americans are cutting back for health reasons. And Gen Z? Their alcohol consumption has dropped 25% in the last four years alone.
What are people drinking instead? Prebiotic sodas. Adaptogen tonics. Zero-proof spirits that are genuinely complex and satisfying. Hop water. Fermented kombucha RTDs with live cultures and clean labels.

We put together a full breakdown of the biggest non-alcoholic beverage trends in 2026 – with real data, no fluff, and a clear picture of where this market is heading.

If you work in food service, run a brand, or just want to know what is actually worth trying this year, this one is worth a read.

Do you know that "Not all tea is produced equal," and most people have no idea what they are actually drinking?

The brand you pick matters more than you think. It affects the flavor, the freshness, and yes, even the health benefits. Some brands use whole leaves sourced directly from farms. Others fill bags with low-grade dust and put a nice label on it.
