"After NYSC, I married my wife. We moved to Lagos, rented a three-bedroom flat, had two children, and I paid all the household bills even after she started working.

When I later lost my job, we downsized to a single room and still struggled to pay rent.

One day, while searching for my National ID, I discovered receipts for blocks, cement, wiring, roofing sheets, tiles, and a borehole. That was when I realised she had secretly built a house.

Two Hausa-Fulani kidnappers who fell in love with their victims after ra**ng them have been arrested in Kaduna.

The two kidnappers r***d the two married women in their captivity and the women pretended to be in love with the kidnappers. They even told them they were enjoying it so they exchanged phone numbers with the kidnappers.

After their release, they kept communicating. On Tuesday, they called the kidnappers for a romantic meeting, and the kidnappers obliged.

Upon arriving at their meeting point, the police, who had already been informed, arrested the two suspects.

Sokoto: Defence Minister clarifies why the bodies of the neutralized terrorists were not found.

General Christopher Musa (Rtd), the Minister of Defence, has provided an explanation for the absence of any physical remains of terrorists following the recent US airstrikes in Nigeria, attributing it to the nature of the weapons employed.

In an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time show on Thursday, Musa stated that the terrorists were neutralised using sophisticated weaponry, including Tomahawk missiles, which resulted in no visible remains.

"They wouldn’t know, because the way they were neutralised, you wouldn’t see anything. It’s a new kind of weapon that was used, the Tomahawks," he explained.

When asked about claims that some Tomahawk missiles did not detonate, the defence chief indicated that such scenarios are part of military tactics.

"That is all part of the tactics. In conflict attack, you deceive your enemy. Those are all part of it," Musa noted.

He also mentioned that the operations have been fruitful and assured the public that more successes are forthcoming.

"At least Nigerians are seeing the results, and they will see more things coming ahead," he stated.

Musa further disclosed that while the US operation was in progress, Nigerian security forces were simultaneously conducting coordinated attacks on other targets.

"As we speak, the Nigerian Air Force, the Nigerian Navy, and the Army were also neutralising a lot of other areas. In fact, from within January, a lot has been achieved," he added.

A middle-aged man identified as Mr Ayoola Ayanwale, has been found de@d in a suspected su!.cide hours after he allegedly m his wife, Ayobami, at the River Valley Estate area of Ogun State.
Ayanwale had allegedly st@bbed his wife and mother of three to de@th on Thursday, January 8 in their apartment after what some described as a heated argument between them. Neighbors in the estate said they heard a loud noise from the compound of the couple and quickly rushed in, only to find her with deep cuts and in a pool of her own blo.od. They mentioned that they quickly mobilized and rushed her to the hospital. They said while on their way, she demanded for water as well as asked what her offence was for her husband to inflict such injuries on her. The neighbors said it wasn't up to five minutes they arrived the hospital that she gave up the ghost. They said the doctors mentioned that she was stabbed close to her lungs which affected her breathing.
The distraught neighbors mentioned that the accused husband later came into the house to clean up all the blo.od traces.
The brother of the deceased said the accused st@bbed his deceased sister five times on her breast, back, chest, all in the presence of their three children.
Barely 12 hours after the crime, the accused husband was found gasping for breath in an open field in the Sotubo area of Ogun State on Friday January 9. He was subsequently pronounced de@d by a medical doctor. Items recovered at the scene include a bottle containing a suspected liquid substance, two mobile phones, a voter's card, and an ATM card.
