To convert all-purpose flour to cake flour, use this simple and reliable method 👇
The Standard Cake Flour Substitute:

For every 1 cup of cake flour needed:
Measure 1 cup all-purpose flour
Remove 1 tsp of the flour
Add 1 tsp cornstarch
Sift the mixture 2–3 times to properly combine and aerate
✅ This lowers the protein content and gives you a softer, finer crumb—very close to cake flour.

For Larger Quantities (Bakers’ Shortcut)
For every 1 kg all-purpose flour:
Remove 4 tablespoons (about 60 g)
Add 4 tablespoons cornstarch
Sift very well

Important Baking Tips (Especially for Nigerian Bakers)
Always sift. Cornstarch must be evenly distributed.
This substitute works best for sponges, vanilla cakes, red velvet, and soft butter cakes.

On the 9th of October was my birthday. My madam surprised me with a birthday cake🥹. Guys, it was my first birthday as a baker but sapa no allow me do cake(if you know me well you go no how sad i should have been that i couldnt). I don’t usually tell people about my birthday beforehand so i felt so touched that just that morning she woke up and saw my status and immediately got into action. And she did whipped cream for me not buttercream🤭 like say make I melt . The way this woman makes me feel seen and heard🥰may God see her and hear her everytime she calls. The way she made me happy, May God keep her happy too. May God bless her for me. I too love that woman dem no go understand .
