If you're coming from nothing and by dent of hard work you start touching money, the first thing you should do is not level up with your mates or increase your taste, instead do this.
You need to save, and the idea is to spend less than you make by any means necessary. If you've been asking for discounts before, please continue. If your Android phone is serving you, continue using it and save that money for a new one. You'll encounter opportunity costs at this stage, and it is okay to forgo those pleasures because you have always done so.
When you've mastered your savings, take some out of it and invest in a business or buy stocks and shares. If you're not yet confident, keep saving. See your savings as a foundation, and as you start a business, invest in a product or move your money into real estate, always keep some as savings.
I know this might be controversial, but don't tell people close to you you have a certain amount of money. If they hear it, they may come to you with their problems, and if you don't solve them, you'll become the enemy.
You can't help people if you're down with them, so get up fully, and then you can help when required.
Managing your money after touching it is where the real work lies. It is still okay to buy a new shoe only when you need it, not when you see a space in your wardrobe.
Look around you; you are still rising. If you begin to show off now, when will it end? Bend down and do the work; your time to show off will come, and when it comes, you will be in constant enjoyment mode.
