There's a saying that goes: "no knowledge is a waste, grab it while u can , u never know when u'll need it". So back then In junior secondary school, we were taught how to speak French but then I thought what could I possibly do with that. young me thinking we actually needed to learn Chinese instead cos most of our imports are from there😂lol.
Now fast-forward to last month, I was on my way back from a dentist's appointment and I coincidentally ran into my former French teacher. He didn't recognize me though 🤭, but I had to greet him exactly how he taught us back then😁. I even included telling him the date of the day in French like he always forced us to😏...
He laughed so hard and still applauded me for keeping up with the knowledge.
And as for a tip, he paid for my transport fare. That was a little act of kindness that went a long way 💝. I might not know where else I might need it but one thing I reassured myself was that no knowledge is totally a waste 🧏. Peace out ✌️
