Ostriches DO NOT bury their heads in the sand.

Here’s what’s actually happening:
When an ostrich senses danger, it drops low to the ground.
From far away it looks like its head is in the sand.
But it’s actually scanning 360° to spot predators.

Plus, they lay eggs in shallow sand nests.
So sometimes they’re just turning the eggs.

Smart bird. Not dumb bird.

FACT: Bats use ECHOLOCATION

Stop. Everything you know about bats is wrong 😂

"Bat blind."
I’m a Zoologist and I’m here to cancel that myth.

TRUTH: Bats CAN see.
Their eyesight just isn’t great in bright light.

So they evolved something cooler: ECHOLOCATION.
They make sounds → sound bounces off things → echo tells them exactly where insects, walls, and trees are.

It’s literally nature’s radar. And it works better at night than our eyes do.

So next time you see a bat, don’t say it’s blind.
It’s probably seeing you better than you’re seeing it 😂
