Two weeks ago...

This is my first attempt at poultry keeping. All the time , I buy chicken for my table, but something shifted in me...just wanted to find out how difficult it is to get chicken to my plate.

The result ... Mixed bag. You would lose some if you are not guided and vigilant.
I love the experience and will do it again.

Meanwhile, it was "sorting day" on the fish farm yesterday.
We had to re-grade the fishes.
This allows you see the progress in terms of growth and health of the juveniles and preventing cannibalism( cat fish is notorious for this🥲).

We are pleased at the steady progress.

Food security!!!

It is important that we save on our food, especially seasonal perishable food.

A time comes in the year when the food is not found, or if available it is very expensive.

Dehydration is a good way to save, store and still ensure the flavour and nutrients are intact.
