It's that time of the year again for this local fruit

It used to be cheap then but not anymore

What do you call this in your place?

Can you guess the price of each set?

Three weeks ago a customer reached out to me to purchase native crayfish.

The price as at then was 18k and I told her. She felt it was expensive, she even left me on read and didn't respond to me

Last week she reached out again saying it's urgent and she is ready to buy now, I told her price has changed and it's now 20k no longer 18k. She was shocked how quickly price can change.

I believe she felt it was my doing but I honestly had no play in it, it's how we buy from fishermen that determines how we sell, another thing that determines how we sell is water

When water is good, fair price when water is bad price automatically skyrockets

It's been raining back to back here in Rivers State, fishermen can't go fishing, the ones that try and go sell high.

Last week I bought fresh fish for home use for less than 7k and it was a good buy .
Yesterday what we got wasn't a good buy at all but we just had to get it like that.

Currently seafood prices aren't stable, I don't know about other foodstuffs.

Bear this in mind when next you are shopping for seafood now both fresh and dry.

If I tell you the price I bought this plantain you won't believe it

I got it for half the price plantain is currently sold in the market

I used an old buying strategy .

Pictures isn't doing justice to the size of this plantain.

The fingers are so big.

Would you love to know the strategy I used?

Important Notice to All Customers 📢
‎
‎Seafood is perishable and needs time to be properly processed and packaged.
‎
‎It isn't rice or beans that you can keep for months and take out whenever a customer orders
‎
‎To protect quality and taste we don't keep dry seafood for long periods, neither do we store fishes or any seafood.
‎
‎If you’re ordering seafood especially for travel overseas, please:
‎1. Start early – Choose your vendor and send your list in good time.
‎2. Allow processing time – This ensures we can source, process, and package your items properly.
‎
‎So it's basically :
‎
‎Order Early ➡️ Share your list ➡️ Allow us time to process and package your items to meet travel and custom standards.
‎
‎Last-minute orders with less than 24hrs notice are difficult to fulfill without compromising quality and logistics.
‎
‎Help us serve you better by planning ahead.
‎
‎We’re here to deliver excellence and planning ahead helps us do just that.
‎
‎ Thank you for your cooperation.
‎
‎Thank you for trusting lekoo foods for fresh and safe seafood.
