INVEST IN AGRICULTURE NOW! SECURE YOUR FUTURE!

Aliko Dangote just announced that by 2028, his fertilizer company will be the largest fertilizer production company in the world.

Not in Africa. Not in Nigeria.

But in the WORLD.

Think about that for a second.

The richest man in Africa, at 68 years old, with all the money he could ever need, is still aggressively investing in agriculture.

Why?

Because he sees what most people are too distracted to notice: agriculture is the future of wealth in Nigeria.

And it's not just Dangote.
His younger brother, Abdulsamad Rabiu, is also investing heavily in agro-processing, fertilizer production, and food security.

Not just them, billionaires in Nigeria are doing something completely different now that people are distracted.

They're secretly pouring BILLIONS into agriculture.
And they're not doing it by mistake.

These men are not fools.
They don't throw money at unprofitable ventures.

They're buying up farmland. Building processing plants. Investing in crop farming, fertilizer manufacturing—everything connected to food and agriculture.

And here's the part that should wake you up:
They're doing this NOW, while everyone else is sleeping on the opportunity.

They are doing it now that some people are giving up on Nigeria.

You see, Nigeria has over 220 million people, and that number is growing every single day.

Every single one in this large population needs to EAT.

Food demand is not going down.
It's going up daily.

Palm oil, rice, cassava, yams, plantain, sugar, and vegetables—these are not luxuries. They are NECESSITIES.

Do you know that the food we produce locally can not cater for the population we have in Nigeria and that is the reason you see us importing most of what we eat from other countries.

That should tell you that profit lies in scarcity.

A few intelligent investors are moving in because demand for food is exploding.

This is the perfect time for anyone who positions themselves correctly in agriculture.

Now, you might not be Dangote.

You might not be a billionaire.

BUT WAKE UP.

Look at what the rich (Dangote) is doing at this time and follow his lead.

Start taking action.

We at Ikodia Agro World practice practice profitable agribusiness, pulling weight, and expanding every single year.

We're not waiting for "someday." We're planting now, tomorrow, and forever, no backing down.

Some of our customers who planted oil palm with us 3-4 years ago are now harvesting monthly.

Making money every single season from their farms.

Some started with 100 hectares at once.

Some started with just 5 acres, but now, some of them are expanding to 10 acres and 20 acres, because they've seen what works.

The beautiful thing about agriculture—especially oil palm farming is that it's not a gamble, it is a wealth creator and wealth sustainer.

It's not like stocks that can crash overnight. It's not like crypto that can lose 80% value in a week.

Just plant a tree, and maintain it properly. And that tree produces income for you for 40 to 50 years.

That's what is called generational wealth.

Your children will inherit productive assets, not debts.

Now, you might be thinking:
"But I don't have land."

"I don't have millions to start."

Listen to me carefully:
You don't need millions.

You can start with an acre.

You don't need to have everything.

You can partner with someone.

You can start small and scale.

The opportunities are there.

The demand is there. The profits are there.

The only question is: Are YOU there?

Dangote is 68 years old and still investing aggressively in agriculture.

Abdul Samad Rabiu is building empires.

What are you doing at 25, 30, 35, 40?

Waiting for government jobs that don't exist?

Chasing get-rich-quick scheme trends that come and go?

Or are you ready to build something REAL—something that lasts, something that feeds your family and builds generational wealth?

If you are 25, 30, 40, 50, or 60 years old, don't wait.

Start planting.
Start building.
Start positioning yourself for the wealth transfer that's happening right now in the agricultural sector.

And if you're smart, follow the rich, become interested in that sector they are interested in.

Nigeria is not running out of opportunities.

Nigeria is FULL of opportunities for those who have eyes to see and courage to act.

The billionaires see it. That's why they keep on getting richer.

Now, I am well-informed in this sector and I am opening your eyes to see it.

Stop sitting on the sidelines watching others build wealth.

Start your oil palm farm.
Start your cassava farm.
Get into food production.
Process palm oil.
Rear livestock.
Just do SOMETHING in agriculture.

INVEST IN AGRICULTURE.
INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE.

Set up your palm plantation today.

Tomorrow, your children will thank you.

Next tomorrow, your grandchildren will live from it.

That’s how generational wealth is built.

Don’t wait. Start now!

IMPORTED RICE, LOCAL FARMERS LEFT BEHIND.

The lifeblood of the Nigerian farmer is slowly being drained—not by drought or pests, but by the government’s tolerance of too much rice importation. Every sack of cheap foreign rice that enters the market pushes down the price of our own paddy leaving farmers at the mercy of traders who buy their harvest for far less than it costs to produce.

Instead of reaping the fruits of their hard work, farmers sink deeper into debt, while big importers and middlemen enjoy the profit. Small rice mills close, rural jobs vanish, and once-productive fields are left untilled because farming no longer pays.

Worse, the nation’s food security is put at risk. Nigerians becomes dependent on foreign suppliers, vulnerable to the whims of exporting countries that can cut supply at any time. We may celebrate “affordable rice” today, but at what cost? A future where Nigerian farmers abandon their land and the country loses the ability to feed itself.

TRUE FOOD SECURITY DOES NOT COME FROM IMPORTS. IT COMES FROM EMPOWERING OUR FARMERS.

EFFECTS OF RAIN ON COCOA POD QUALITY
(And What You Must Do About It, Especially in the Rainy Season)

1️⃣ EXCESS RAIN INCREASES BLACK POD INFECTION:-

Heavy rains cause constant moisture on pods and trunks, creating the perfect environment for Phytophthora fungus (black pod disease) to spread.
Rain splashes fungal spores from infected pods to healthy ones
Flooded soils weaken the tree, making it easier for diseases to take hold

What to do:
✅ Prune trees for airflow
✅ Remove infected pods quickly
✅ Apply fungicides before and after heavy rains
✅ Use proper drainage or plant on raised beds if possible

2️⃣ WATER LOGGED ROOTS REDUCE TREE STRENGTH:-
How it happens:
Too much rain leads to soggy soil, which suffocates the roots and limits nutrient uptake.
Weak roots = weak trees = poor-quality pods
You may see yellowing leaves and small, underdeveloped pods

What to do:
✅ Dig shallow drainage channels
✅ Avoid heavy foot traffic during wet periods
✅ Apply compost or mulch to balance moisture and improve structure

3️⃣ POD SWELLING WITHOUT PROPER SEED FORMATION:-
How it happens:
Rain can cause pods to swell abnormally, especially if flowering overlaps with wet periods.

You’ll open the pod and find few, flat, or rotten beans
This lowers your market value or makes fermentation difficult

What to do:
✅ Regularly inspect pods
✅ Control flowering with pruning
✅ Apply balanced fertilizers to strengthen tree development before rains

4️⃣ REDUCED POLLEN TRANSFER DURING FLOWERING:-
How it happens:
Cocoa trees depend on small insects (like midges) for pollination.

Heavy rains wash away pollen or reduce insect activity
This causes poor fruit set and misshapen pods with few seeds

What to do:
✅ Improve shade control — not too much, not too little
✅ Encourage pollinator-friendly environments (cover crops, minimal spraying)
✅ Remove excess flowers to help tree focus energy

5️⃣ DELAYED HARVEST & POOR FERMENTATION:-
How it happens:
In rain, farmers delay harvest to avoid walking on wet, muddy farms.

Overripe pods rot or start sprouting seeds inside
Wet weather also affects sun-drying and fermentation

What to do:
✅ Schedule harvest before peak rains
✅ Use clean sacks or baskets to avoid extra moisture
✅ Ferment in wooden boxes and dry under controlled conditions (solar dryers or shelters)

FINAL TIPS FOR FARMERS:
Inspect farms weekly during rainy season
Spray fungicide BEFORE and AFTER major rains
Cut and burn infected pods — don’t leave them lying around
Mulch to reduce splash and keep soil healthy
Train workers on rain season hygiene for harvesting and pod handling

COCOA HEIGHT CONTROL AND DISEASE MANAGEMENT.

Cutting upward branches, also known as canopy pruning or vertical pruning, is a critical practice in cocoa farming for both height control and disease management, especially against black pod disease.

PRACTICAL BREAKDOWN:

1. Height Control & Farm Accessibility:-
Cocoa trees naturally grow tall if left unpruned, often exceeding 5 meters.

Tall cocoa trees:
They are difficult to manage during harvesting, spraying, and disease control. They increase the cost and labor required for harvesting.

By cutting the upward or vertical branches:
You keep the trees at an ideal height (about 2 to 3 meters).

This makes harvesting easier and faster.
It encourages horizontal growth for better pod production.

2. Reducing The Risk of Black Pod Disease:-
Black pod disease thrives in humid, poorly ventilated environments.
Here’s how upward branch pruning helps:-
Opens up the canopy for better airflow and sunlight pe*******on.
Reduces the humidity around cocoa pods—this is key, because:
High humidity = higher black pod risk.
Lower humidity = fewer fungal spores.
With better light pe*******on, the soil and tree trunk dry faster after rain, reducing fungal spread.

3. Redirecting Energy to Productive Parts:-
Upward branches often consume energy that could have gone into pod formation.

Removing them forces the tree to focus energy on the lower, more productive horizontal branches where pods are easier to manage and less prone to black pod.
Reduces "wasted growth" at the top that doesn’t yield profitable pods.

4. LONG - TERM TREE HEALTH:-
Regular cutting of vertical shoots prevents the formation of a dense, tangled canopy.

It also prevents trees from becoming top-heavy, reducing the risk of wind damage.

BEST PRACTICES:

Prune during the dry season to reduce infection risk.
Cut at the base of the vertical branch (close to the main stem) with a sharp, clean tool.

Apply wound protectant or allow cuts to dry naturally to prevent fungal infection.
Avoid excessive pruning in one session to reduce stress on the tree.

Combine upward branch cutting with sanitary pruning—removing:
Diseased pods.
Dead branches.
Choked areas within the canopy.

This combination gives maximum protection against black pod and boosts productivity.

NOTE
“Prune upwards to grow profits downwards.”
Cutting upward branches is not just for reducing tree height—it’s a strategic black pod prevention method and a productivity booster for long-term success.
