From the forests of Taketa, Oita, Japan to Amstelveen.
These shiitake are grown on natural sawtooth oak (kunugi) logs in the Sobo, Katamuki and Okue UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, slowly maturing for two years. The result is an exceptional aroma, deep umami, and firm texture you simply can’t find in sawdust grown mushrooms.
