Today we are excited to launch our global cookbook!

Featuring recipes from 45 of our team Compass chefs across 30+ countries, we’re helping to educate consumers on how to give a second life to ingredients that most commonly go to waste in home kitchens, including stale bread, bruised fruit & vegetables and discarded peels.

On page 88 you will find the recipe from our own chef: Jon Scobey!

Jon Scobey is Executive Chef at ING Amsterdam for Compass Group Netherlands. He joined Compass in September 2019 and has previously held the roles of Head Chef at G-Star Raw and Head Pastry Chef at Restaurant Vermeer.

Today, on Sustainable Tuesday (Duurzame Dinsdag), we are launching bonbons filled with honey from bees that are kept on the roof of the Acanthus building.

Urban beekeeping is getting more and more popular. Bees from city apiaries are said to be "healthier and more productive than their country cousins". Their presence also provides cities with environmental and economic benefits.
With bees threatened by habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change, researches are finding that planting flowers patches in urban gardens and green spaces can help restore these essential pollinators.

The bonbons are now available at the coffeecorners. 🍫🐝🌺
