Let’s start with the basics: shaken or stirred?

Both techniques might look simple, but there is more to them than meets the eye. The way you prepare a cocktail affects its temperature, dilution, texture and overall character.

In this carousel, we break down the difference between shaking and stirring, and explain why, according to classic cocktail techniques, James Bond’s preference for a shaken Martini is technically a little controversial. 😉

That said, we are not here to tell you how to enjoy your drink. If you like your Martini shaken, shaken it is. We are just here to help you understand what happens in the glass.
