Live cooking always adds something fun to an event. For this garden wedding, we’ll bring along our Ooni pizza oven; a compact but mighty addition to the evening.

From freshly baked pizzas to grilled chorizo sausages and even individual lasagnas, it allows our chefs to prepare dishes right in front of guests. Small in size but big on atmosphere, it quickly became an asset in our set-up and is perfectly suited to an informal outdoor celebration.

We had the honour of hosting the civil wedding of Yorieke and Morgan in the garden of their family home, surrounded by close friends and family.

After the church ceremony, guests were invited to the garden, where they enjoyed sliced charcuterie, freshly baked pizza’s, seasonal dishes and late night bitterballen bringing warmth and movement to the day.

A personal celebration, led by food and genuine hospitality.

Highlighting the venue, because Hortus Botanicus deserves just as much attention as the event itself.

Founded in 1638 as a medicinal herb garden for doctors and apothecaries, it is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world.

A setting that feels like Amsterdam at its most beautiful, equally suited for corporate dinners and weddings. Think long tables under the trees, guided garden walks between courses, drinks surrounded by glass houses and a visit to the butterfly glass house.

A few dishes from a recent wedding anniversary dinner at the Grote Kerk in Loenen.

Together with Leonardo and the team from , we had the pleasure of bringing this dinner to life for 150 guests.

We start with cicchetti, caprese, Sicilian caponata and insalata nizzarda, followed by porchetta with lentils and frisée.

Then lasagna in bianco with asparagus, eikhaas and bechamel, before sea bass and roasted veal with jus and leafy greens.
To finish: vanilla panna cotta with caramel.

Simple ingredients, generous flavours and a menu built around sharing.

At the end of March, A Culinary Affair had the privilege of hosting a very special lunch in support of the Mwangaza Kids Foundation. An intimate setting, a six-course menu, and an extraordinary lineup of Mouton Rothschild wines, brought to life by .

It’s not often that everything aligns like this, people, purpose, food and wine. We’re thankful to have had the chance to be involved in such a special event.
