Obercreek / Fluid Profits + Sole Purpose: Nelson

An all New Zealand cast of hops today from Obercreek, with Riwaka, Nelson and Motueka in two extremely saturated brews for you.

Fluid Profits combines the dream-team of Riwaka, Nelson and Motueka to bring a huge punch of dank white grape, zesty lime and kiwifruit. Beautifully balanced at 8%, and goes down smoooothhhhh.

Sole Purpose is a more restrained affair in abv only, with a deep dive into the wonderful dank grape notes of Nelson with this single hop pale ale. Fresh and bright, a beer of 5% has absolutely no right to be as expressive and complex as this!

ALL JASPER ALL THE TIME!!!

ALL CAPS = ALL JASPER!!! Today we’re dropping an absolutely insane drop of fresh Jasper!

Today’s drop includes the original, and now legendary Jasper, plus three variants of it at different levels of punchyness!

Jasper is something of a whale beer these days, with Citra shining in all of its grapefruit glory. It is this which is the base for the Jasper with Nelson, Rakau and Peacharine - three DIPAs which explore different NZ hops all mixed up with copious amounts of Citra.

And if you want to amp things up another level, then we’ve got a beautiful TIPA version of Jasper, loaded with Citra and Rakau as well. This one is at 10%, but drinks ridiculously smooth for the ABV. Expect grapefruit, peach, pithy dank notes on this one!

Freak Folk Bier - Failure + Shallow Gaze

Failure in name only, here is a DIPA which blows the competition right out of the teku. Citra, Motueka and Galaxy in perfect balance, with citrus, pine, and dank resinous goodness - it’s one of the beers of the year!

If Nelson is more your jam, then you can’t do much better than Shallow Gaze - with a big hit of white grape, stonefruit, pine and dank berry to finish out, it’s as bright and fresh as the can is dark.

This duo is one of the highest ranking, and best tasting we’ve had all year - and we’re extremely happy to be putting them next to each other for a high-class showdown!

Hill Farmstead / Fresh Double Citra, Nelson and Legitimacy

Just in - a fresh batch of some of the best and brightest hop-forward beers in the world. Today’s drop includes two beers from their “Double” series, with Citra and Nelson Sauvin versions. These beers push the limits of single-hop beers, with each being a deep exploration of what makes both of these hops great. Perfect tried side by side, where you can really let the Citra and Nelson sing!

Legitimacy is a more subdued affair in abv only, where the 6% belies an explosively zesty and punchy beer which is huge in flavour yet almost sessionable in nature. It’s a marvel of brewing and is tasting great right now!

TEST / Air Fable + Interlude in Darkness

There is a whole lot of Strata on offer today from TEST, with a single hop NEIPA and a DIPA with Strata and Citra.

Fidens Friday - Fresh Pales, DIPAs and TIPAs Incoming!

It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve had new Fidens for you - so rest easy, as we’ve got a fresh batch for you this Friday. Including two huge TIPAs with New Zealand, Australian and US hops, as well as a beautiful fruited DIPA with Guava, there’s plenty of heavy-hitters to keep you happy this weekend!

If you’re looking for something a little crisper and crushier (yeah that’s a word now), then we’ve also got What Comes Around is All Around - which is a marvel of modern brewing at 5.8% and punching well above its weight with its citrus and bitter balance.

If THAT is still too heavy, then check out Essentia, one of our new favourite session beers. It’s 4.5%, with a lovely biscuity malt backbone combined with fresh bright citrus which keeps us coming back to the well. So good!

DEEP FRIED BEERS - Amped Up DIPAS Now In!

The list of hops and hop derivatives in this line up of beers is longer than an accidental Sunday session, and just as intense. With hops, oils and derivatives from Yakima Chief and Abstrax in the North, and Clayton, Freestyle and Maui in the South, these beers are really bringing the absolute best of what the world has to offer in terms of hops!
