Rawsome

Rawsome is een food café waar rawfood centraal staat. Rawsome food café: de producten worden niet meer verhit dan 42 graden om de voedingsstoffen te behouden.

Er wordt gewerkt met biologische producten die zoveel mogelijk lokaal ingekocht worden. Er zijn diverse zoete en hartige lekkernijen te verkrijgen naast de smoothies en sappen. De kaart wisselt regelmatig.

But there is something you can do!
Intensive livestock farming plays a major role in climate change. We can make a big difference by eating more plant-based foods to help prevent the worsening conditions that lead to these natural disasters.

Often, the best shot is taken when no one is really looking. I took lots of pictures of Liz on this day and I told her she had to look dreamily ahead. At one point towards the end of the shoot she laughed very loudly at something I said. And I took a picture. That's the only picture of her smiling. We were so blown away by this photo that we chose this one. Follow me on my private insta account

What I really like in this photo are the monochromatic white tones combined with the gray hair of the model. It took hours of hair and make up to get it right and this was one of the first images I took. Sometimes my job is easy.

Every year we slaughter 640 million animals in the Netherlands and 70 billion worldwide after a miserable life. Every day, 195 million animals die, just for human consumption. Livestock eat six times more protein than they produce, and we humans get enough protein when we eat a plant-based diet directly.

I took this photo with a white horse at a castle in the south of the Netherlands. The model was a bit afraid of horses, but the horse was very easy-going and sweet.

Breaking through barriers. Hopefully I can do that with my project too. Capturing iconic photos and collecting insightful and personal stories from celebrities who embrace a vegan lifestyle. To inspire their followers to reduce or (even better) quit meat and dairy consumption as well.

I once had this beautiful animal in front of my camera in my studio. I noticed that she enjoyed the photoshoot. Horses are incredibly smart and sense moods very well. It’s strange that we do not look more closely at all animals and respect them.

This is a portrait I made of my daughter Elfi, who is a great example of a dream chaser. She quit her job as a senior brand manager and choose to go study music in London at the ACM. Ed Sheeran, among other great musicians, studied here as well. Very proud of her!
