Malaysian food theme night for my first private dining guests in the year 2024! 🥰

They are one of my regular customers and supporters, travelling all the way from Amsterdam!

Dry version beef rendang, sayur lodeh, freshly roasted peanuts, avocado shake with gula jawa and pandan coconut rice.

Known as “nasi lemak” meaning rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. Some served it with fried chicken, anchovies and sambal prawns. I tailored mine to suit my guests palate.

Hello lovely people!

How’s your summer vacation so far? How’s summer treating you?

I am very happy that past customers still look for me and asked why I am no longer selling my food.

I just want to remind everyone that we have switched to private dining!

In a cosy setting at my place, guests get to have sit down dinner or lunch with us, over delicious home-cooked Asian food.

I will share stories of the food, including how it relates to my time in Singapore. Guests will interact, ask questions and share their stories too!

Baobeitje is so happy to learn that in collaboration with Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Airlines, Nomads which is a Dutch restaurant in Amsterdam is doing a fusion Dutch/Singapore theme these few months!

As a proud Singaporean and a home chef, it is no surprise that I decided to check out the place and the food of course.

It is important to note that one has to go with an open mind and not expect the exact copy of Singapore food as that would be so wrong and the restaurant is NOT a Singapore restaurant.

So in case you think this is how Singapore food taste like, I can tell you it is absolutely not. However, it is still worthwhile to check out the dishes if you are keen.

I'll leave the verdict to you 😉!

Sorry for missing in action! I was home in Singapore for the family and the account was also hacked when I came back.
